Good morning all! I am going on the Dream in April (woo-hoooooo!) and flying back home on disembarkation day (bummer!). My flight is at 2:25 at MCO and I would like to have a nice lunch before checking in for my flight. I considered doing an early lunch at a Disney restaurant but would rather go closer to the airport since Disney is 1/2 hour away. Any recommendations?

Thanks!
Wanda

Main question is....will you have a car or transportation to take you off property at MCO?

There are a few restaurants right in MCO for lunch.

This may be helpful in deciding if you want to eat away from the airport.

And this is the link to dining places within MCO.

Thanks MJ! I will have a car. I was hoping to find a nice "family" restaurant outside of the airport to end the trip on a nice note. But it would be alot easier to eat inside the airport. Thanks for the links!

I'm not sure how far you're willing to drive, but if you want a nice restaurant to end the vacation with a delicious bang, I would recommend Seasons 52 or Bahama Breeze in Altamonte Springs (or Mimi's Cafe, which is also in Altamonte). Altamonte isn't far off of I-4, so you could head there straight from the Port and then head out to MCO after lunch.

Restaurants near the airport . . . eh. I've lived here for 14 years and I don't think I've ever dined near the airport on purpose.

There is a very cool and yummy restaurant at The Grand Boheme hotel in downtown Orlando as well, but it's a bit pricey and is not a casual clothes restaurant.

If you want something casual, Sweet Tomatoes on East Colonial is really family friendly and not that far from the airport.

There are also several places to eat at and near the Florida Mall which is not too far from MCO.

Something to keep in mind - leave enough time to return the rental car and go thru security which could be a very long line if traveling on a peak travel day in April.

There are a lot of the chain restaurants within a few minutes of the airport. We've eaten at a TGI Friday's and a Chili's along the road with all the hotels--Semoran???something like that. It is literally 5 minutes from the airport. They also have some "fast food" places along there.

Ditto to this! It is Semoran/436......it is one of the exits out of the airport. There are several restaurants right off this exit......Chili's, Fridays, Denny's, Cracker Barrel, Ale House, Hooters, Joe's Crab Shack, Tony Romas, Bonefish, Longhorn Steakhouse......
