Refrigerator in room

it depends on the ship and room type. most of the ships do, but some of the really old ships only have them in suites.

they are college-fridge size coolers. they generally do a decent job of keeping drinks cool to cold. however, if you have medicine that needs to be kept cold, you can contact the special needs department for a real fridge.

Also know that your fridge may already be filled with mini bar items - last week on the Allure it contained three bottles of water, three or four cans of soda, a candy bar, a small can of Pringles and a bag of gummi Bears. We moved the bottled water to the desk so we could at least make room for a small carton of milk from the buffet. The fridge was not very deep - the biggest thing we could fit was a small take-out box for a piece of cake.

So I assume its not weighted then? As in you can take something out and not be charged for it....you are only charged if you consume the product...correct?

You can take items out of the mini fridge and will not be charged. We have done this on the past two sailings with no problems.

You can also ask you stateroom attendant to remove some or all of the items as well.

Correct - as long as you put it back unopened, you'll be fine. I really wish Royal would follow Carnival's recent decision to leave all room fridges empty......

Awesome! Disney is empty too and we like to keep water and milk in there. :)

Since later 2013 and since then, on the active cruisecritic Royal message boards it has been stated repeatedly that attendants don't/won't/can't do that anymore. Our attendants won't; they tell us to empty it. It's generally handled by a different group (stocking it and checking on it), so it's not the attendants' responsibility at all.

Long way of saying "just do it yourself". :)

We get the water package, so we take out the smaller Evians and all the sodas (the stuff that's in the way of the big bottles), and use the fridge for as many big bottles as will fit. Then the last night we put all the other stuff back (and leave two big bottles from our package b/c we used the ones already in the fridge on the first day).
