Yes they are quite happy to hold the $ for now and I'm looking to make offers on similar contracts - although they all have similar risks of being taken. Funny thing is I don't actually need the 2016 points based on my plans but partial points leftover would be harder to rent out if it's only a few and I'm fussy about use year so my options are limited. At the moment that broker doesn't have anything without 2016 points (and the rental $ would be nice or I could just use the extra points on an extra trip anyway - I'm at risk of getting hooked!)

A suggestion. I just bought a similar contract but the 2016 (which would have been up anyway in Feb because of Feb use year) were banked into 2017. I'm renting them straight out when it completes but it passed Rofr in 10 days. Suggest if you bid again, you get them to bank any 2016, points into 2017 as part of the deal. It may then pass ROFR easier.

Thanks. It's almost impossible to do it by hand without missing something, IMHO. I must have fixed mine 8 times the first time I posted a contract here.

So disappointed! Decided to sign up for DIS board to inform about ROFR for us. On to another offer.
After 20 yrs OKW DVC member, we decided we wanted more than our 220pts. We found DIS boards while trying to find another resale

Good lord that's a good price for BCV these days. The market's definitely backed off from last year's prices. I hope it goes through; those loaded contracts are prime buyback targets. Fingers crossed!

Maybe too late now but if you could get the 16 points banked into 17 before it goes in, it may make a difference to ROFR.
