I’m sorry to say.

I’m glad I did it if for no other reason than that the boat ride was run, and I’m glad I got to see the Swan and Dolphin up close, but the food was so disappointing.

The staff was excellent - I was slightly late, my nephew and GF were very late as they were both held up at work (Homecoming), but I was made to feel very comfortable. They brought me chips and salsa, then my nephew and GF their own when they arrived.

I wanted so much to love the place...but I couldn’t. The salsa was good, but I have to say that the chips were bland...and, like GF said, a little on the stale side.

My nephew and his GF love Mexican - she said this was one of the worst meals she’s had at WDW, and considering how often they eat here (since they work here), that’s saying a lot. She thought her Birria was terrible - way too dry, needed salt, just terrible. He thought his short ribs were ok - nothing special at all. My tacos weren’t awful, but they were very mediocre and tiny, very dry- to be honest, they weren’t nearly as good as good as the ones I had at Smiling Crocodile at AK in November. I saw a photo of someones lunch tacos in the review section, and couldn’t believe they were from the same restaurant.

I did bring home a couple of scoops of ice cream from the Fountain, and they were delicious !!!

Oh no!

I hope it was just an off day.
I was hoping to try it during our “Sister’s Trip” in September since we are staying at the Swan.

Maybe we will try breakfast instead of lunch or dinner….
But the margarita options look so good…

Oh please don’t change plans because of my review - while it does get somewhat mixed reviews on Open Table, plenty of people have loved it. I hope it was a bad day for them. Maybe I’ll have better Mexican at F and G Fest, lol

I was there in April, solo staying at Dolphin. I wasn't going to try it at first but decided what the heck. I had a very good meal there and the service was good. I had the guac. they make at the table A

And the chicken enchiladas with salsa verde (team green sauce, if you know you know). They came with rice but I'm not a fan so I got beans instead

I enjoyed it all but it was way too much food and the end bill with tip was around $75. I can get almost the same thing at our local Mexican restaurant for around $30. I went to high school in NM so love both Tex Mex and traditional Mexican food. This is definitely Tex Mex. While they did do some redecorating in the place the space is still the same as it was as Med. Market so big open space. It was loud and there was a convention going on at the time so lots of people in there letting off steam. I might go again with my son and his family but it's not somewhere I'd go often.

Aw man, I'm sad you didn't like it. Hopefully it was just an off night/opening period kinks since we have an ADR there on our arrival night...I've never been before but the locations here in NY are rated pretty highly.

(btw get the taco vampiro at F&G. everyone is raving about it!)

I was going to, but I knew I wanted the daube in France, so I skipped it. Daube was good, but the best things I’ve had so far are the veggie bruschetta and strawberry rhubarb upside down cake at Farmer’s Feast. Yum!

I would have ordered the guacamole had the other two in my party not had troubles and been so late - I thought it would be too much for me.

The enchiladas look great!

I didn't know there was a Rosa at Disney! I've been to both MA locations and love them - great margs and apps. Bummer to hear it might not be as good at Disney. Hopefully it improves!

Anyone been recently? We will be there in a week and I’m trying to decide if I should keep this res.

We were there a couple of weeks ago. Didn't love it. Didn't hate it. The food and service was good. We just preferred Chuy's for our Mexican cravings. At a substantially lower price.

We were there last week and had a great experience. We started with the table side guac topped with bacon and cotija cheese. It was very good, though we asked for mild / medium spice and got very little spice. We still loved it though and completely devoured it. Next time we will ask for some heat - I guess we forgot we were at Disney :goodvibes . Our son doesn't normally like guacamole but he loved this version. Chips and salsa were very fresh and tasty as well. We all got some version of the enchiladas. I had the duck with mole sauce and they were delicious, as was the Mexican rice accompanying it. Husband and son got combos of duck, chicken, and brisket with varying sauces and loved them as well.

The service was excellent, and the margaritas were good (and strong). Is it more expensive than our local Mexican restaurants? Yes, but the food was also a step up from our local chains. And it far exceeds any of the Mexican food in Epcot for about the same price point. We also liked it much better than Frontera Cocina in DS.

We will be back.

Thanks. I'm worried I'll feel the same way. We have our favorite place too. There are a few items that look interesting though.

Thank you! I've read good things about the guac and we love good guac! Did you try the frozen margaritas?
We've been to the 2 places in EP and disliked both of them. Haven't tried Frontera yet.

No, we're on the rocks kind of folks :goodvibes. But they were very good - got the Grand Marnier floater with them. In hindsight, that's probably why they seemed so strong! Life was good that night.

We were there for lunch the weekend it opened and thought it was very good. The service was good. The table side guacamole was great, as was the chicken quesadilla I had as my entree. Yes, it was more expensive than a place like Chuy's (which we love) but it is a different experience. We liked it so much that we have a dinner reservation in two weeks. We want to try the margaritas since we were driving last time.

We had the taco vampire last summer and I would agree…it was SO good!
