Thanks. I'll be adding some more pictures later. I need to call United to try to get some tickets booked to fly to Florida in August! Found a good deal but they keep giving me an error message online.

No go. After a while on the phone he said that they hadn't updated the website and the price was up from $493 return to $670 return. Sorry, not paying that much! Not right now anyway! Funny thing is I checked it today and the price is a little different, a couple of cents less, but it is still saying that rate. United may not have me as a customer anytime soon if they don't get that figured out! I had 7 pending payments to them on my Visa yesterday, but they all said 0, so you know how much I tried to get it done!

I've found that the prices this year are off the charts for airfare. I think the lowest I've ever managed to get on previous late August trips is $550 return (CAD) coming from (far) eastern Canada. I've found that the prices this year are off the charts for airfare. I think the lowest I've ever managed to get on previous late August trips is $550 return (CAD) coming from (far) eastern Canada. This year I'm looking at just over $700. That may have something to do with the weaker Canadian dollar filtering down to the consumer. Still hurts though.

I was looking back over my flights to Florida, and I'd booked most summer trips in March or April, but the best deal I got was when I booked through AC in June for a July trip. $470 out of Charlottetown! That was beautiful. I think it makes me cry right now. We tried United again last night and didn't get anything. I kind of growled the CSR about the price still being on the website if it's no good. They really need to update their website!

$470! That's a phenomenal price! Hopefully you will be able to get something as good or better this year. I find that the prices really drop off in September/October but, like yourself, we are bound by the school year. With luck things will drop and it won't cost an arm and a leg to travel.

Yes it was! That's what prompted the trip. I am almost always playing around and searching for rates and discounts and such. Some of the perks of being a teacher are not always perks! I like to think I can wait and the prices will drop, but it also scares me. It's a gamble. If I book and they go down... or what if I wait and they go up? LOL So scary!
