If I have a resort mug in hand along with an inhaler, chapstick, and folded up cinch sack (with nothing in it), in my pockets do I still need to stand in line for the security check or will I just be subject to the random checks prior to entering the park?

As far as I remember...it's a bag check, so unless you have some type of bag...no. I had a fanny pack around my waist and I removed it for the search as well as giving them my backpack

We carried everything in our hands (EpiPen, video camera, wallet, phones and hand sanitizer), including a drawstring bag that was rolled up and obviously empty, until we got through the metal detector. Once through, I unrolled the bag and put it all in. No problems.

I've done the same, rolling up an empty cinch sack into my pocket. Went through the no-bags line. Didn't even think to pull it out and ask them if they needed to look inside it.

You are still subject to additional metal detector screening, though. So I'd keep the inhaler, phone, and any other metal objects in a separate pocket so that it's easy to access.

You can go through the No Bag Line(you will still be subject to a possible trip through the Metal Detector).

(I would remove the lid from the Mug.)

(At the IG,EVERYONE goes through a Metal Detector.).

No everyone does not. I am a power chair user and have never been asked to go through the metal detector at any entrance. Last trip was September.

OTOH, I would not remove the lid from the mug. it is just one more thing to juggle. If you get stopped for the metal detector, just put it on the little table when you walk through the metal detector.

I walk through the no bag line with a metal water bottle and if chosen for the detector, that's what I do. They have never asked me to open it.

Would it be acceptable and NOT considered a bag if I put the small things like the inhaler, chapstick, travel sunscreen, and travel hand sanitizer in a clear sandwich or quart size baggy just so when we put them in our cinch sack they're contained and not floating all over the bag (hard to retrieve)?

Or would I now have to go through the bags line because a clear (see through) bag is now considered an actual bag that needs thorough inspection?

I'm guessing bag check because the items are not easily identified when they are together. Also, if you have a lot of objects in your pockets, you are more likely going to get pulled to go through the metal detector. Bulging pockets full of stuff is a trigger to get screened.

You "may" encounter a No Bag Check employee who would wave you through, but MOST LIKELY you would be sent to the Bag Check line.

By policy it is a bag-there is no exception for a clear bag.

Does having a stroller automatically put you in the bag check line?

I am pretty sure that the policy is that if your stroller has any bags in it or on it, it goes through the bag check line. Otherwise, it can go through the no bag line.

Now, here is what irks me. I see people going through the no bag lie with strollers that have as ton of stuff in the under seat basket. They hold up the no bag line while the undercarriage is searched. I personally think the basket should count as a bag.

I should’ve specified - if I have a stroller with NO bags in it or under it do I have to wait for bag check?

No. you can go through the no bags line.

I was just venting that people with "no bags" but a stroller with jackets, food, cameras, etc loose in the bin below should have to go through bag check (INHO) but often don't - holding up the no bas line.

Got it, and I totally agree.

This will be our first trip with older (diaper-free!) kids, but still taking a stroller. I’m hoping we can get by with a few things in pockets, magic bands and nothing else!

I was behind a stroller with no bags underneath the seat in the No Bag line. There was no issue, the guard waved them on through after he glanced at the empty compartment.
