September Exercise Challenge - Submit a Name! (Everybody welcome!!)

The challenge is on. And it's a challenge by you to you! Challenge yourself to do "x" number of minutes of exercise this month and then Get Moving!


Post as frequently as you like and I will update the list throughout the month. Please tell me how many minutes you have completed along with your goal for the challenge. For example "I did 60 minutes on the treadmill yesterday, and am now at 60/1200".


As you reach milestones for the month, your name and total will change color in this post.
At 10%, you'll be bright pink
When you reach 25%, you'll be orange
When you reach 50%, you'll be purple
When you reach 75%, you'll be turquoise
At 90%, you'll be red (because you are on fire!)
When you hit 100%, you'll be WISH green!

Gosh, I haven't been in DIS for a while, but this challenge sounds interesting as 1. I'm currently suffering from a major case of Disney-itus and 2. I need a challenge to motivate me.

I'm going to shoot for 1000 minutes.

today (so far)- 50 minutes

50/1000 = 950 to go.
 
After a massive fail last month, I'm now done subbing and ready to recommit myself. I'm in for 1200 this month.

I'm off to a good start. I did bridge to 10k and some extra for a total of 100 minutes of treadmill time.

Put me in for 900. I am back to teaching tomorrow, so we'll see how much I go this month. Yikes!

Hey everyone! Welcome to September. Many of you are working hard already, putting up some good numbers!

It's not too late to join in if you're curious. Don't be shy - even if you don't make goal (and not all of us do!) you're still up and working towards something.

If you're not sure what a good starting point would be for a goal, consider this: 30 mins a day is the recommended amount of activity for an adult. There are 30 days in September. That's 900 minutes total. You could start at 650, which would be approximately 30 mins for each weekday - a great way to begin a new habit. Habits take three weeks to form (or so they say) so you could use this month as a challenge to form a new healthy habit!

I have updated my list on the computer and I usually update the list on line at the end of the day. So far, so good! Keep it up guys and girls!
 
I'm increasing my minutes this month. Dopey training really starts putting on the miles this month. Shooting for 2500 minutes.
