Welcome! For those of you that don’t know me – I am Dorine - but I go by "D~" on The Dis... I subsidize all of our trips to Disney with my sewing of custom items, I love what I do, and I love that I am able to add magic to many trips to WDW - including our own. Just this last year, I also became a Seint makeup artist – I found this makeup as I was packing for our annual trip to Aruba – and I fell in love with it!!! TSA travel approved, and I love how it looks on my mature skin!

It has been a hot minute or 12 since I’ve even logged into The Dis… and boy life has given us lots of changes!!! I will update in post #2!

Most of my days are spent here - in my sewing room... Everything I make and do is done by vintage machine - the newest sewing machine I own is from 1963... I am very adamant about keeping all of my items One Of A Kind (OOAK) – I love what I do, and I love that it adds magic to so many lives!

My girls and I are well known for our “girls trips” to Disney. I am very proud of both of my girls for the wonderful young adults that they have become. I enjoy spending my time with them, and I believe it shows in every post I write and every photo we take. They are my entire world, their smiles and laughter brighten every single day, I am so very lucky!

My DH is Josh… He normally doesn’t play a role in our trips, other than me finding ways to get his blessing for another girls trip… He would much rather stay home!

We are now a one dog family, as we lost Maxy Moose in October of 2022. L So now it’s just Cooper... Or Sooper Cooper, if you prefer. When a friend of mine from HS had a litter of puppies in the Spring of 2015, I jumped on it and begged her to let us have one of them... She chose us to be one of the lucky new puppy parents. Our family waited anxiously for Cooper Adam to grow up enough so we could take him home - stalking my friend on FB for any and all puppy pictures we could find. It was a LONG 8 weeks! But, finally, Cooper came home to live with us. Cooper is now an 8 y/o puppy at heart, and spoiled as rotten as can be!

The girls are grown and living on their own, now it's just Josh, and Cooper and I at home. The girls do live nearby though, and I get to see both of them several times a week.

So, this last summer, Victoria got married to Nolan… They had been dating for several years, and engaged for well over a year. They had a beautiful wedding, it was everything our Princess dreamed it would be!


Fast forward a month or so, and Victoria announced that she is expecting our first grandchild!!! Can you believe it???? Those of you who have watched our girls grow up on The Dis… Here we are, we’ve come full circle, and now our baby is going to be a mom and I’m gonna be a Granny (not my official name yet). Excited doesn’t even begin to describe it!


And for those of you who have followed my PTRs and TRs for years (nearly a decade now!) – none of our plans will surprise you at all… We know what we like and what we don’t… and we rarely deviate from that. However – this time, I will need a TON of advice!!! Babies and diapers and strollers – OH MY!

So - our plans so far...

This trip will consist of Victoria, baby (who will be about 7 months old at the time of our trip - but baby isn't born yet!!!), and I.

We are a military family... So we will be staying at Shades of Green for 7 nights...

For the first time EVER - we will be renting a car!! We just think - with the logistics of a stroller and a baby - not to mention that we've had a few town car trips where the driver wasn't out for a leisurely Sunday drive... We just feel safest with our own driving abilities, and our own car seat.

We plan to do 4 park days, and MNSSHP...

And a direct flight.

So, how did this trip come about???

Well - in TRUE Disney addict fashion... You guys are gonna love this!!!

On our 2008 trip, V was 9 y/o... We bought her a WDW sweatshirt that was about 3 sizes too big... She LIVED in this sweashirt for about the next 8 or 9 years - literally, it was about 8 sizes too small by the time I nabbed it out of the laundry to put away for her. (Sweatshirt below and all of us in 2008)



So, last week - V and I were perusing the racks at the local 2nd hand kids store and what did we find???

Victoria's sweatshirt in BABY SIZE!!!!



That night, Victoria called me and said "Mom, I really want a picture of our baby in front of the castle..."

And our trip was born...

That is a TRUE Disney fan people!!! We just justified a $4000+ trip with the purchase of a $5 used sweatshirt. :lmao Life doesn't get much better than that! <3

YAY!!!!! I'm super excited you're back to share all about this most magical trip!!! My Mom still says her favorite Disney trip was her first as a Grandma. It's going to be so special!

Looking forward to following along. It's been awhile (I'm guessing) since you last visited. So much has changed. I haven't been back since park reservations and Genie+. The reservations are going away for regular tickets but will continue for non-dated tickets like AP's. I've seen people say the Salute tickets will require reservations, but I'm truly hoping they don't.
My only baby suggestion is to check out the Munchkin Sparrow Ultra Compact Travel Stroller. I know nothing about it except I saw a Dad folding it up when we were getting on a plane and I wished they had those when my kids were little! It folds up so small you can put it in the overhead compartment on the plane (so no gate checking or waiting for it to be unloaded)!
Having a car will definitely be the way to go, especially now that you can't walk from SoG to the Poly. Sure was sad when they took that option away, we used it often.
