I don't care what hurricanes are named, but can we all agree that naming winter storms was a dumb idea?
It is a dumb idea. Once you've named a winter storm "Frosty" it's all down hill from there. I think they should name hurricanes after super heroes, monsters, and cartoon characters. "Hurricane Judy Jetson"--has a ring to it, don't you think?
My father told me that many people thought naming hurricanes was a dumb idea back in the 1950's. It took a while for it to be fully accepted. Yeah, I think naming winter storms is dumb, and it seems most people and newscasters agree. There were very few mentions of the name of the storm 11 days ago, although it might be because they were fascinated with the term "bomb cyclone."
I propose all hurricanes now be named low-key. low-key1 low-key2 low-key3 That would be a really emotionally confusing time for you (am I afraid myself? What does that mean?) & then you could come to the the disboards and we could all talk about your feelings.
I agree, but the recent "G" name winter storm was a perfect name, if you follow college basketball. In all seriousness, TWC is going for sensationalism & ratings, which could be at the detriment of those in hurricane prone areas. People already don't take Weather Channel warnings seriously, because they're constantly calling wolf. Naming every storm of any kind will only make things worse.
Can we just name them after my kids???? All of them are terrors that cause tons of damage..even the dog!!!!!
