So if Disney never gets that we love our VMK community -- even after we've done everything we possibly could to save it...wouldn't it be nice if we could still play the games we all came to love, whenever we wanted? How about being able to purchase your favorite VMK game?

I know for a long time many of us had wished that we could play our favorite games whenever we wanted. I know it isn't anything as good as keeping VMK open, nor would it be the same, but it was just an idea.

Simply taking out the games of VMK would just remind us of the wonderful place we left behind :( Not to say I don't agree but it would hurt to much.

This I know...I would feel the same. Just grasping at straws I guess...

Even in the VMK afterlife, I'd like to be reminded that Days.he is better than I am at fireworks ... and ghosties ... and pir, never mind :hippie:

Save the games!

I would love the chance to still play pirates with friends. And IF the reason vmk is closing has to do with contract negotiations between Disney and Sulake, I think it would be great for whichever company has the rights to the game to look at this possibility. (And my guess would be that it would be Sulake.)

It would be awesome if they did that, but I have a feeling one has a rights to the Software (Sulake) and the other has the rights to content (Disney), so since the parties have split don't see that happening. :sad2:

maybe disney can buy the full rights to vmk. that woul be the best move to me. i think it's realy sulake thats not being fair if you ask me.

Usually in dealing with contracts there are things written in the agreements call Non Disclosures..which means if the 2 parties of the contract decide not to do buisness any more the non disclosure kicks in to prevent either party involved from talking about, selling, or changing it in any way for a pre determined amount of time.

If this is the case, I have a feeling the Saluke will eventually, after the non disclosure time runs out..be bringing a VMK type game (not like Hobbo yuck) back to the internet. Seeing that Saluke has paired up with Paramount recently I would think it possible that they create the game around them.

That being said, if it IS a contract issue that has VMK closing it's gates (and I have thought all along that it is) nothing from VMK will be heard about in a very long time, until the Non disclosure agreement runs out, which will probably be in the range of 5-10 years.

Now THAT would rock! i am totally going to miss playing fireworks Daze, it would be cool to continue to play both the old fireworks and re-mix....:woohoo:
