Solo meet-ups on DC?

Hi do they have any meet ups and activities on a Disney cruise for solo travelers ? I have seen on some internet site they do ‘crusin solo’ and ‘single mingle’ but can anyone confirm this, and is going on a Disney cruise solo worth it?

I go solo all the time - but I am content with my own company and don't go on cruises to hang with or meet other people. I go on them to relax and enjoy being on the ocean. Therefore I have not done the usual "singles lunch" or whatever they call it - usually on a sea day the CD or someone from his staff will "host" a lunch in the MDR.

I did find on my last one that they seemed to have dumped the 3 solo cruisers at one table. No thank you. The next night I was scheduled to eat in the MDR I was able to switch to my own table. But you'll likely be put with other solos for dinner.

If you're wanting to have a lot of social events for a solo cruiser, NCL's ships with the studio cabins seem to be the best option as they have stuff almost every day and night.

I worry I might get bored on my own after a while and would only ever cruise with Disney as I’m a Disney addict.

Browsing the Navigators of our recent Fantasy cruise, I only see three lunches as activities catering to solo travelers. If you are social enough, I’m sure you’ll be able to make friends in non-solo specific activities like trivias, demonstrations, contests, etc.

Did they have a ‘crusin solo’ Meetup at the start of the cruise can you see from your navigators that I’ve heard they possibly do for solo travellers at the start of the cruise to help socialise with other solo travellers ?

No. The first activity was a lunch on day 2.

EDIT : That was on our NYE cruise a few weeks ago. Last March, on Wonder, there was a meet in Cove Cafe on Embarkation day for solo travelers. It was held at 5PM, after the drill and the deck party. On Fantasy, in March 2017, there was no meet. Maybe it is ship specific or held only on cruises where they know there are enough solos to justify the event ?

Thanks that makes sense that they only possibly do them when enough solo travellers. :)

I went on the Disney Dream last year with 2 friends. We went to the two solo events and were the only ones to show up. I'm considering a solo cruise later this year, but I'm good with just relaxing and doing my own thing. Maybe a better place to meet people is at some of the trivia games in bars.
