Hi all,
We are currently at Aulani, this is our last night at the resort, we got assigned a nice island garden room with a view of the ocean and the Luau area.
Our stay with 3 adults (mom, dad, MIL) + 7yr old and 2 yr old was fine. We brought 6 roller bags (carry on sized) with us and shopped at Costco for Deli, breads, drinks and other items during the first day. It all fit in the room with no issues, sleeping arrangement was two adults in the bed and an adult and the two kids in the sofa bed.
We did spend some time in the room, the pools and beach were closed for a couple of days due to the rain and high winds, our room is close to the elevators so the sofas there facing the pool came in handy as a good place to hang out while everything was shutdown.
Overall we are happy with our decision not to go for the 1BR and use the $ saved to book a stay at Disneyland right after this trip. I'm looking forward to two queen beds over there always easier going to a larger place after spending some time in the studio!
Happy to answer any questions if anyone is considering a similar stay.
