swap room at 11 months out

Just wondering if anyone ever just flat out swaps reservations to get the 11 month window advantage ???
For example we own at BCV and can get a studio for ***** for 25 points now but would like to get a standard studio at BLT for ***** also 25 points ... Both I would guess are hard to get at 7 months so do dvc members ever just swap reservations (if that is the right term for it.)
We have our dates already for the whole stay at the BCV and are very happy with that and will try on May 30th to get that BLT studio at seven months but was just wondering if swapping is even allowed ??

As far as DVC, it would be considered a mutual rental. Basically you make a reservation in their name, and they in yours. It is possible, but it is rare to see it done.

If you wish to try for such a swap, you could post a Trade Wanted thread on our Rent/Trade board, assuming you meet our minimum posting requirements or become a Gold level member. Remember that you can not offer any reservation that you have already pre-booked prior to 30 days from arrival, but you can offer to make a new reservation for the other party.

To post for free, you need 50 posts, spread fairly evenly over the last 6 months, with a minimum of 8 posts in at least 4 of those 6 months. (basically at least two posts per week)

I just checked your posting history, and you do qualify under those conditions and do not need the Gold Plan at this time.
