We returned 9/30 from our 8 day excursion to WDW and had a great time with the free dining plan. It is a lot of food and I gained 5 pounds! It was worth it though as now I have a reason to keep going to the gym in preparation for our next trip! Normally we would not get appetizers and would share desserts, so this was more food than we would usually order. No complaints about eating for free though. One comment I would have about the Pop Century Food Court is the breakfast ffood was not very good in our view. We had pancakes and French Toast which were nothing special and we did not eat breakfast there again. Burgers were ok, but a greasy. Cheese fries were good though...
Dinner 9/22
First sit down meal was Garden Grill in the Land which we have eaten at on our two previous trips this year. Unfortunately the quality of the food has gone down and they switched from scalloped potatoes to Mashed that were nothing special. Meat was cold and the dessert was some sort of Strawberry pastry which was not bad, but nothing special. I did not take pics of this meal and will skip this one next time. Usually we would have no problem recommending this restaraunt and paying out of pocket, but not now... Maybe if they change up the menu we will try it again sometime in the future.
Dinner 9/23
Spoodles - YUM!!! Best Meal of the trip!!! A+ for service & Quality. Will definitely go here again and would pay out of pocket.
New York Strip Steak & Sweet Potatoes (Very Good)
Fettucini Alfredo (Excellent)
Orange Cake (Very Good)
Creme Brulee (Excellent)
Dinner 9/24
O'Hana - Food & Service = B Good, but the meats were not too great.
Will skip next time, but would pay out of pocket.
Fried Wontons served with peanut sauce, chimichurri sauce and harissa (Good)
Mixed greens with a honey-lime dressing (Average)
Stir-Fried Vegetables (Average)
Honey-coriander chicken wings (Excellent)
Maui Scalloped Potatoes (Excellent)
Spicy-sweet and sour shrimp (Average)
'Ohana bread pudding a la mode with Bananas Foster Sauce (Very Good)
More to come...
