Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Hey guys!

School started this week and they are not easing us back into things, we have to start off running! It's not that bad, but more than I expected for the first week back.

So something spooky happened to me last night. In my bedroom I keep a flashlight on the lower shelf of my bedside table. I woke up last night in the middle of the night and the flashlight was turned on! :scared1::scared1: I have no idea how that could have happened. It is one of those where you need to twist the top to turn it on. It was the strangest thing and I was really spooked. My house is haunted! :scared1:

Jo you cease to amaze me in your luck of winning! You Jo!

V- I can't wait to hear about your plans for your big road trip. What a beautiful part of the country!

Lessa- That is SCARY!

Hi Everyone! We keep getting snow here. Seriously it has snowed EVERYDAY! The worst part is that it is not a dumping everytime. It is 1-4 inches... but it's daily and DH is not here to plow or shovel... so I'm tired of it!

DH is in the UK. From the sounds of it, he may be pulled and put on a project in need of his services... IN S. Africa, MX & Latin America. Seriously...:confused3:

The kids and I are off to Tinks 3rd dance class of the week, then we are heading out to see our good friends who live on the other side of the cities for the day. Have a great day!

At my house I would just yell KYLE!!!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:But you are right Lessa that is SPOOKY!!!

Hey, all!

I worked Thursday and then Friday was a half day for the kids - who did go to a friend's house after, but D just won't go away. :rotfl: Seriously, he had a trip that got cut short due to the weather on Wed. and then right now there's NOTHING going on for next week. Sigh. But, I was glad as he did all the snow clearing on Wed. ::yes::

The boys had their basketball game today against our good friends with another set of boy twins in their class, so we all had lunch together after and now the other set is here to play for a bit. Looks like we're skiing tomorrow, then staying at Deb's lake house (which is closer to ski areas, too) and coming back mid-day on Monday as her DD6 has an eye appointment. Good for us, too, as I don't like to be too crazed on a school night. ::yes::

But, then, at some point today we have to get some groceries to take up there, and then also we decided to kennel the dog rather than worry about trying to drop him at the house before getting to the ski hill or whatever - so he's going tonight so that we can get going earlier in the morning. And I had two beers with lunch and have no interest in going anywhere! :rotfl2: Plus, now, I have to pack a little, too.

Hope you all have a great weekend! Good luck to those going back to school, congrats to Jo on her wins, and Janet, have a fun busy weekend! :grouphug:

Hey all! Not much happening here. I cleaned jimmy's room :faint: We cleaned out his book shelf and are donatingg a ton of books to his school library (Things he is way passed reading). That took me most of the day. Jim and Jimmy worked on his pinewood derby car for scouts. Now we are just chilling. Jim is going to make breakfast for dinner:thumbsup2

Tomorrow we are heading to the Franklin Institute for the boys to work on some scout stuff. We are taking Jimmy's friend Tyler with us, so that should be fun.

I have gotten no laundry done today, so that will be on Monday and Jim will take Jimmy to his OT appointment.

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

I

I have popped in lately but not really in the mood to post.

Kristel, I just want you to know I am thinking about you. I am so sorry that you and your family are going through so much.

Has anyone heard an update on Kristel and Doug?

Janet- Great job on cleaning the room AND the derby car! DS is not participating in the derby this year b/c of skiing.

The kids and I are having a lazy day. :thumbsup2 But ds just was called for a playdate, which means I have to bring him over to his friends house. I want to hybernate! Baby it's COLD outside! I think it's already in the negatives. poo!

We had a great time with our friends yesterday. We didn't get home until 12. It was a long, late drive for me to do alone.

I went to a specialty vitamin-ish store whilst on the otherside of town and finally found some childrens fish oil vitamins that DS could take. Most are way too big for him to swallow and these are a chewable lemon flavored capsule that are each 500 mg of fish oil. So he can get the recommended 1000 mg for brain effectiveness. We'll see in a few months if they help. :confused3

I attended an open house for the special school we are looking into for him. I'm attending a open house at the school this week and then testing will start sometime in Feb. to see if he even is a candidate... then we need to decide if it's the right environment for him. The plus is that they do math 3x a day. They can work to their "ceiling", which he has never hit yet. But there is a lot involved in deciding to move him. Oh I wish this decision was black and white. :headache:

Good afternoon all !!Just back from a Dis Meet with 2 Canadian Dissers !We had a breakfast buffet at The Casino and then shopped at the Out let Mall. Great time was had by all

Happy Monday everyone. Today is a holiday (from work), but we are busy, busy, busy. Jim is at the grocery store as we speak. Jimmy has a 1:45 OT appointment. I am doing my usual....:laundy:.

I have a chicken in the crockpot cooking, so dinner is started and will be easy to finish with some stove top, mashed taters, and some veggies.

Not much else happening here. Hope you all have a great day:goodvibes

Good Morning All! :goodvibes

Well, the cookie season has begun! :headache: Soon thousands of boxes will descend upon my innocent home!

Evan came home sick from school on Thursday and has been sick ever since. With his asthma, he really hangs on to those colds. :sad2: Then he decided to share it with me, so I'm feeling like crap today.

I took my Girl Scout troop to the Cookie Kickoff this weekend - had so much fun! But it was tiring!

I booked our WDW Christmas trip on Saturday! Everyone is so excited! Waldo's being pouring over allearsnet's menus. :lmao: I think he just like to go to eat at all the restaurants!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Kristel: I'm thinking of you and Doug every day and sending you lots of hugs, love and good thoughts.

Janet- Chicken in the crock sounds great! What recipe do you use?

T- I saw your GS and Robert picture. Too fun!
I hope you and E both feel better soon!

It's a no school day for us too! Tink is dressing and redressing her AG doll. DS went to a playdate at his buddies house. I'm hanging out on the computer, but should be out shoveling. Yuck!

We have dance tonight and probably a drive through the mcd's for dinner. :yay::confused3

I'm off to read some more TR's.

Silly question but how will you be able to tell? They recommend Omega 3 oil for kids here but I don't think in those quantities!

It's been a miserable rainy day here and we also had a call from the school nurse that Jess was feeling ill so we had to go and pick her up. I think it's just lack of sleep again why won't that child ever lie in???? I must be the only Mum of a teenager to say that :rotfl:

Other than that not much news, Saturday we spent with Em and the boys, we went to a place called Dickens World and it was pretty well done but not much to do there  Then yesterday we took Jess to her golf lesson and then I stupidly stayed up till 1am playing angry birds on Jessica's ipod touch I did complete it though, just need more levels to be added :hyper: :rotfl:

Tomorrow I'm playing golf with the lady captain so I need to behave :rotfl:
