What are people's thoughts on the Festival of the Lion King package? Tier 1 is pricey. Is the safari "upgrade" really worth it? What else is different versus Tier 2?

My kids would love to be in the front row for this show - wondering is this is a splurge-worthy reservation.

Here is my review from last year.

If you are planning on dining at Tiffins anyway this package is a bargain. Our dinner reservations were for 6:45 so we were assigned the 2pm show. We swung by Tiffins about 1:30 to pick up our passes and made our way over to Africa. We were directed to the exit where we were welcomed by a cast member and instructed we would be escorted to the front row of the Elephant section. When we were seated the show manager came over, introduced herself and asked if we had any ???s about the show. We chatted for a minute and then our animal education specialist stopped by and told us to just sit tight after the show and she would come collect us for our safari. The show was amazing as always, the front row view was fabulous, very immersive. As promised, Tonya came to escort us for our private safari. We were the only ones doing the package this show. We were in a regular ride vehicle, just the 4 of us. Best safari ever, Tonya had worked at AK for a number of years, had worked as a driver and had recently been promoted to education specialist. So much background information about the safari and the animals. Cannot recommend this enough. Dinner at Tiffins was wonderful. Starting with a sparkling toast, full 3 coarse meal including another glass of wine, beer or cocktail. We would have easily spent 99 pp just on dinner so the add ones really are a bonus. Highly recommend this experienc

So you did Tier 1 and liked it. thanks! funny enough - Tiffin's isn't currently in our itinerary this trip. But I heard about this and am now considering it.

We all really enjoyed our Tier 1 package. Great seats for Lion King (DD was picked for the giraffe sounds) and a really fun, informative safari. Three out of four of us recouped our package cost at dinner which was really yum.

We did this in June - tier 1 and loved it! The front row for lion king was great - we have been close to the back for years. The food at tiffins was delicious and our meals pretty much cost the amount of the package. We loved the safari too. It was fun to hear some completely different information about the area and animals. Worth every penny to us

Just to echo what everyone else is saying-- definitely worth the splurge. I just did this in August. The meal at Tiffins was EXCELLENT and I would have paid more for the same meal without the package. Front row seats to the show and a slightly different (and more private) safari experience-- I'd do it again!

Tier 1 is the only way have/will done it! Just booked it again for December. We were lucky and had a private safari tour last time we did it - no one else had signed up for that day! We would have had a pricey lunch at Tiffin's anyway, so the rest is basically a bonus! Well worth it!

One of the best add on meals ever.
The safari is 1000% worth it. You can never take a safari like this any other time. We've always had other guests on ours but only a handful. It's never going to be a full safari and you'll never have a chance to ask questions like this. Plus you get to find out behind the scene (so to speak) info about the safari, the animals and how it operates.

We eat at Tiffins most every trip anyway, so it's just natural to opt for this instead. I love the front row seats at Lion King too. You tend to get a fair bit of attention from the performers. Especially the monkey's

question...really thinking about doing this!! What did you guys have to eat? What do you recommend? can you pick from anything on the menu? Thank you

You can pick anything on the menu. Their menu does change seasonally but stays somewhat similar, just the prep seems to change the most
I always get their octopus app, never fails.
Usually get the steak as it practically melts in your mouth (currently a surf and turf option)
Typically get the chocolate ganache dessert but the last time I got the ice cream variety option (halo halo) and it was really good too.

We often add on 1 enhancement to share, brussels sprouts or mac and cheese
