Time to Kill at Contemporary?

We are eating at Cali Grille and staying to watch the fireworks. However, our reservation is at 6 on a night when the fireworks are at 9. Is there anything to do at the hotel to kill time until the fireworks? My kids are 15 and 12. Thanks.

A boat ride around bay lake, or over to Ft Wilderness just to look around might be fun for the kids.

Fourth floor CR--shopping. SPEND MONEY. 😁

Less expensively, take a round-about on the monorail. That'll kill about 45 minutes which would be all the time we'd have after one of our 2-hour Cali Grill meals. Not at all difficult for us to linger over dinner that long.

I’d monorail around the resorts! Easy and cheap 😉 If you have more time to kill than the route takes you can hop off at Poly and/or Grand Floridian and look around the lobbies.

Contemporary has one of the best arcades in Disney, if you don't mind spending a little. You can also go to the Bay Lake Community Hall and play video games, board games, do crafts, etc. - they're open until 10 pm and we can spend hours there! Lots of free outdoor games in the courtyard outside the Community Hall and by the pools like giant checkers and chess, billiards, ping pong, foosball, shuffleboard, volleyball, minigolf, tennis, or basketball. There's also a campfire with roasting marshmallows every night and the Movie Under the Stars on select nights. There's a caricature artist there on the 4th floor near the gift shops in the evenings, too. You could also do the DVC Open House (open until 8 pm) and go tour a 2-Bedroom Villa at BLT (very pretty room and it's a nice, no-pressure open house!)
