I've been dragging my feet to post this last day at sea report. It's always the saddest.
(Insert Navigator Here - Somehow I'm missing this one)
If I thought we slept in yesterday I was wrong! We slept in until about um 9am. It finally felt like vacation! And it was the last day. We slowly got ready for breakfast. We decided to try Parrot Cay today since Beach Blanket can get really crowded. But before we got to breakfast we had to swing by the club to get a few pictures for my scrapbook! It was the last open house and we HAD to be there. We didn't look at the schedule before we popped in and guess what was happening at that exact time?!? Mouseketeer Training! AND there were no kids in the club. AND Mickey himself was coming in approximately 2 minutes!!!!!! Before we had a chance to snap a picture in came the Main Mouse! And since we were along we got a private photo shoot! At the very end a family with a little girl came and joined in, but it was seriously amazing. We got some pictures all over the pirate ship and club and then it was off to breakfast!

Dan and I didn't dare eat too much cause we were off to Palo at 11:30. After we ate we went down to Edge real quick as they were also in open house. Next time we are on the Wonder D will be old enough to go to Edge and we wanted him to see it so he had an idea of what he'd be getting into.
We sent the kids off to club while Dan and I got ready for Palo. We wandered through the stores and shutters to kill some time, then we went to guest services to pay a little on our account. And then it was close enough to 11:30 to go. Eeek I was so excited. We got our seat and then hit the buffet. Since we did Palo in December I had a good idea of what I wanted to eat. I didn't feel the need to eat everything this time. We ordered off the hot menu. Dan got Eggs Benedict and Chicken Parmesan and I got Chilled Strawberry Soup. Then we went back to the dessert buffet and got several each.
Ok here's my honest review of Palo this time. When we went in December I'd say it was a 100 out of 10 score. It was AMAZING and life changing. That was the reason we felt we HAD to go back this time. This time it was just ok. Our server may have been off her game today, but we just felt the service was lacking. It retrospect it also may have been because Dan and I don't drink alcohol. The other table she was helping had drinks flowing and we felt like she was paying way more attention to them then us. It took her forever to clear our plates and bring our drinks. She didn't offer coffee until well over halfway through. She was just ok. Dan said his Chicken Parmesan this time wasn't melt in his mouth amazing like last time. Final verdict: Palo, do it. It's still lovely. And since we only have been there twice and our experience was 50/50, I'd go back again. 50% is a good ratio.
And I'm sorry to say we forgot to take even one single picture.
After Palo we went back to the room to change into more comfortable clothes and then we got the kids for their lunch as it was 1pm. They wanted Beach Blanket. We went up there and the kids got their trays. We slid them down the buffet and when we got to the drink station both their trays were empty. hum I guess C and D aren't into Seafood Buffet.
So we went to the ice cream machine to get an appetizer then to Pluto's to get cheeseburgers. We took them back to the room to eat so I could get packing.
At 1:45 C and D had some activities they wanted to do in the club. So they gobbled their food and were off again. I wanted to do towel folding. I was hell bent on learning their secrets. The towel folding was lead by a housekeeper. He went really slow and showed each step. Also they had a camera on his work station and it was broadcasted on the screens around the room. I'm embarrassed, but I'll post pictures. Needless to say, I won't be applying for a housekeeping job. I'm sure I could pass the cleaning bathrooms and making beds portion of the interview, but would fail when I got to towel animals.
This is suppose to be a "dog"

I came back to the room and worked on packing a little bit more. But Dan and I had a super important date! Malificent! It started at 3:15 and ended around 4:45 so we'd have just enough time to get to the Walt Disney Theatre for Friendship Rocks! The movie was super! I mean Excellent! Worth the wait and worth sitting there while a 3 year old kicked my chair and occasionally my head. Amazing movie. It was a beautiful twist on Sleeping Beauty. As soon as the movie was over we rushed out of the theatre to the theatre (well bathroom first) and then theatre! We saw C and D in line for Friendship Rocks so we were able to get seats on the side they were coming in. Friendship Rocks is a cute show. Our kids LOVE being in it. They do a couple songs where the kids dance then they show a movie made up of movie clips and pictures of the kids in the club and lab. C and D showed up once each on the video so I was thrilled.
It only takes about 15 mins not the full 30 allotted on the navigator. It's cute and fun.
We let the kids play in the club for a little while longer while Dan and I tried to get everything packed. I didn't realize we bought so much until we tried to make everything fit in our suitcases again! Jeez. Packing heavy seemed like a great idea until now. The kids really wanted to go to the Officer Pin trading at 7:15. They took the pins they wanted to trade. C said it was a free for all once the 7:15 mark hit. She said it wasn't a single file line but everyone just rushed up to the officers. Even so, C and D ended up with some cool pins from this trip. 5 new ones each.
When they came back we had a few minutes before dinner. We took the kids to the club to return their Mickey Bands. Then we went to Shutters to make a final photo purchase. This time we just wanted one. We felt we had gotten some great shots with our own camera. Finally we went to guest services to charge off our account and make our cards non chargeable so we could leave confidant what we had a zero balance. We hung out in the windows in Route 66 for a few minutes until dinner watching the beautiful scenery.
The last dinner is always the most sad. Our food was good. Lito and Jack were amazing. The desserts were perfect, but everything tastes a little like sadness on the last day. I love the Small World parade every time. And I cried. Haha not ashamed. We got pictures with our servers and swapped emails. Then we headed to bed. We were planning on doing express walk off in the morning and it was going to be an early morning.
