Trip Report for the OhanaFamily Clan

Well, on the last day we woke up sad. we wandered over to the concierge lounge where we had breakfast, and asked if we could hang out there after we checked out. they said sure. This is the point where we noticed that it was raining outside.

We went back to the room, finished packing, dragged Nieceosaurus and Nephosaurus out from in front of the TV, went down to check our luggage and take some pictures. I was a little upset that they didn't have the November schedules yet.

We decided against going to the parks because of the rain, and we proceeded to the Build A Bear workshop. The guy clothes don't fit Nephosaurus so well, but Nieceosaurus got a Cinderella Costume (we bought a Tinkerbell costume for her as well, but we are saving it for the holidays)

Next we went to the World of Disney Store. We bought our trip gifts, and tried to find something for my nephew; couldn't. bought more than a few pins, scrap-booking supplies for DW, and assorted gifts. I have a complaint at this point. I had it shipped home. Ground shipping worked out to about 15% (on a sale in excess of $200) This is an unreasonable fee. Overnight was over 25%. I was shipping so we didn't have an extra bag, so I paid the exorbitant amount. It is much more reasonable in Florida.

We were going to ride the monorail, but instead decided to have lunch. we each had a Calzone at Naples Ristororante. They were quite good. After lunch we took a few more pictures, stopped at the hotel gift shop for some souvenir rain ponchos (in blue), and got our luggage.

We had a nice ride to the airport, we checked in and had gotten our upgrades. Yippee!!! We went to the Admirals Club, Nephosaurus got on the computer there and posted while I did a little more last minute shopping...Nothing Disneyland specific at the airport...Oh Well.

We had a very pleasant flight back to Dallas, Nephosaurus kept flirting with the flight attendant; He asked for hot chocolate...not hot cocoa, she brought him a cup of chocolate syrup.

We sadly hit the ground and our trip was over. It seems so long ago now, but we had a great time.....

Thanks for the report!
I'm so glad foot trouble and fires weren't able to keep you from going. I was hoping to squeeze in one more day at DL before my annual pass expires on 12/1...but I don't think it's going to happen, so now I've done it vicariously.
Don't you just love the Grand Californian and concierge level is such a treat (and really is cost effective if you're in a group).

Now must 'flip' over and get the next installment of our pal Rick's saga!

Thanks for a great report! So glad you had a great time!
TTFN!

Thanks for the pics! Looks like the kids had a great time....first class all the way.

The view from your room is nearly identical to the view from my favorite room. I've sworn never to divulge the room number on the internet, but we always request it when we go and have had it several times.....it's on the fifth floor and very near the 'patio' that overlooks the pool (the patio, not the room). So, down one and maybe slightly to the left...:D

ohanafamily TOO CUTE!!!! Thanks for sharing. Do you think that is an awful big ice cream sundae for such a precious little guy???

Love, Love, Love the pictures!!! The view from your room was amazing! DH will be glad to see the dragons drinking Dasani (he works for Coke!).

You all are too cute!

The Kids had a great time...

BTW, Deadheadbelle I drink the juice from the Diet Coke Plant...RRBB says that if I ever loose enough blood that they can pump it in directly.....The Dasani was free in the Concierge lounge....

Cheeringmom, don't let his size fool you...he did split it with his sister (and I had a bite too. The Flight attendant actually brought him a cup full of chocoloate sauce (that he couldn't finish...)

ibouncetoo, from what I understand all of the rooms have good views...but our room was 6010.
