Updated Disney Gift Card Deals and More

As an FYI, not gift card related but I know many of you purchase tickets to Disney World and Disneyland. If you aren't using your DGCs to buy tickets direct from Disney, you may recall during Target's Circle deals there was an outstanding 25% off deal for https://www.tripadvisor.com 's "Things To Do" which gave some incredible prices on tickets to both Disney World and Disneyland.

RMN has a coupon, RMN10 which seems to be valid all the time and gives 10% off the price of tickets. This puts their prices below what most 3rd party vendors such as http://www.undercovertourist.com and http://www.arestravel.com sell the tickets for.

For example, a 3-day base ticket to Disneyland (non-park hopper, no Genie+) is $351 through http://www.tripadvisor.com after 10% RMN10 coupon while http://www.undercovertourist.com wants $367.90 and http://www.arestravel.com wants $367.

YMMV on combining with Cashback sites such as Rakuten, currently RMN is not offering any cashback.

This reminded me that at the time of the Target deal, I attempted to stack the deal with a really good Capital One Shopping 20x offer. I made two purchases, party tickets with my Target account and my Cap1 Shopping account, theme park tickets with P2's accounts. Capital One Shopping seemed to track for both purchases, but only the purchase on my accounts paid out. I think it just goes to show that YM really MV with these shopping portals.

15% back just credited after several phone calls. (Purchase made beginning of the month). I had Walmart
15% back on 3 cards. 2 orders I bought gift cards the 3rd some garage shelves. All credits appeared within
a week. BUT Walmart/FEDEX lost the shelves and refused to resend. Said I had to reorder so Chase probably
will claw that back. Supervisor did give me a $25 gift card for the trouble.

That Sams Club offer back in NOV for 180 for 200 Discard? I got 2 on my account and 2 on DH.
Got so busy with holiday season and didn't check them. Went to combine last week for upcoming
cruise and ZERO balance on all 4! Just about had a heart attack. They resent new ones and those
had zero balance! Spoke to supervisor and she sent new ones and stayed on phone with me while
i checked. Those were fine. She emailed $20 off gift card to me and a seperate gift card to DH for the
trouble. Friendly reminder to check balances/transfer immediately if you can.

I haven't had such a string of issues like this in a long time. I'm chalking it up to holiday season but
who knows. Getting to the point where i'm holding my breath when checking balance of a new card
hoping money is on there.

I'm very guilty of not checking the balances right away. This is a good reminder to do so right away especially with the digital cards!! Thanks

Do you think its possible your email is compromised? As a precaution you may want to change the password to your email and setup some sort of multi-factor authentication for your email to be safe.

I actually called Disney to see if any purchases were made and was told there was no history on
any of the cards. Remember when I called they sent 4 more immediately and i checked all of those
within a minute of receiving and ....zilch. 3rd time was the charm. I do wonder if there is some kind of
funny business going on but was told it was just site glitches.

In the past 2 days my SW flight from BOS to MCO has gone down twice. Yesterday was $17 and today was $16. Every little bit helps to the next trip.

Did they have to do something to unblock your gift card?

I still have been unable to check balance, add to my Disney Gift Card account or add the gift card to make a payment to my DVC dues, which I thought I would be able to do if the problem was with the gift card website...

Happy to report I was able to get my Costco Disney gift cards unlocked by calling and waiting 48 hours. Both have been transferred to my physical card.

I check my SWA flights every Tuesday. Those are the days that the fares often change.

Wow, good tip but that would be a lot of work! I'll give it a try but we'll see how often I can keep it up--we have 12 SW flights scheduled this year so far. I usually only check when they send an email about a sale.

I check pretty much every day - it’s part of my morning routine, along with checking hotel prices!
