**UPDATED FINALLY 12/10x2!!**"Ill be your Pin Pimp!" A very sweaty August 2014 TR!!

Love the music to Soarin' too. I listen to it everyday! :goodvibes

Hey, it looked like Donald didn't want much to do with you as it looks like he was kind of pushing you away.....LOL! :lmao:
HE WAS PUSHING ME AWAY! I assumed it was because I wouldn't share my margarita, but maybe he just wanted Pete all to himself!

Reading along, sorry for arriving late! Don't worry if I had a penny for every time I cried whistle at Disney I would be able to live there permanently :rotfl:

Thanks for sharing your adventures so far!

Shannon

Thanks for joining in! Sorry I've been so absentee! I'm trying to get back on track here! Life has gotten BUSY!

Hi! I'm joining in!
Welcome!! We will have some actual content going on soon, I promise!!

....anyone still out there?
Sorry I've been gone so long. Life has gotten insanely busy and we won't be booking a disney trip for a long time, so the disboards just depresses me:(

But anyways!
Where were we.

We headed over to Japan.

These ladies were out drumming and are totally awesome. We stayed and watched them for a bit while enjoying some sake.

As we walked from Japan to Morocco, we saw a wall of rain coming at us.

This isnt a good photo, but it is raining so hard in Morrocco and you could see the actual line of where it was raining and where it wasn't. We were ready for a snack (key to making it around the world, lots of snacks to soak up all the alcohol) so this was a good excuse to duck into Spice Road Table. No one else was really around so we hung out at the bar and got hummus and drinks.

I got sangria, which I believe was peach.

Pete got this beer.
Our bartender, Hassam, was so great. We were the only people at the bar, so we just chatted with him the whole time. He went on my list of excellent cms to report.

We got a hummus plate, and let me tell you, this hummus plate was a dream. I just ate the olives and hummus, but spoiler alert, we will later return for this hummus again. It was SO good.

The rain cleared up and after I licked all of the hummus off that plate, we said thanks to Hassame and headed over to france for one of the FamouS~
Grey Goose Slushies.

We shared this one because we really wanted to be able to make it to dinner.

England was next! We love Rose and Crown and I think dinner there will be on our list next trip.

We struck up a conversation with some locals who were celebrating a birthday. They were all super nice. I believe at some point we talked about if they come to Disney bars on the regular. Things get pretty fuzzy at this point, but we made our way over to Canada, where I got a Torontopolitan and did my best Martin Short impression.

I do a great Martin Short. Still standing after 10 countries! We only had Germany left and had very little time to spare before dinner, so we headed over to Beirgarten!

I wasn't originally super excited about going to Biergarten but Pete was stoked on it. At this point though, I was excited about EVERYTHING.

Like when they called our name to be seated, I WAS VERY EXCITED.

I LOVE ACCORDIANS AND WAS ALSO EXCITED ABOUT THAT.
Then Chef Jen came out and walked me through the buffet, showing me what was safe to eat.
German food is a lot of meat, so there was plenty for me to enjoy with out having to wait around for anything :goodvibes

This was the first time I had ever tried sauerkraut. It was, meh, fine. Very smelly. I don't know that I'll ever specifically ask for it.

Kids started to getup and dance, which was cute!

We were sat with 2 awesome families. One was a mom and dad who were former CMs and just had such a great energy. The mom and I chatted and giggled the whole meal. The other family was a single dad with this teenage daughter and son, who were both such sweet kids. It was such a lovely mix of people!

Very excited to have made it all the way around the world! I got a glass of wine.

I don't know how Pete had room for dessert, but somehow he did!

Some adults got very into the Biergarten spirit!

Huge beer!

We did it! Someone get us some water!

After dinner we wandered into the gift shop, where Pete paid hommage to Mr. Mark

Pete and the CM working convinced me to buy a wool hat in August but with the reasoning that I could stick a feather in the hat from all my travels. Worth it, right?

Illuminations was set to start in a bit, so we wandered over to a pin stand. We both love Oliver and Co and hadn't seen any pins from it, so we asked the CM if she knew if there were any. She said that the only one she could think of only came in a mystery pack. Well, after drinking around the world, EVERYTHING is a good idea, so we each bought one of the mystery packs and I also bought a Bernard and Bianca set of pins.
MAN MYSTERY PACKS ARE EXCITING!!! It was the best friend pin set and we didn't get any doubles AND WE GOT THE OLIVER AND DODGER ONE. And this point was really the downfall of our self control. Mystery packs sucked us in all trip. WHAT A RUSH. I was so happy that I finally had some pins I could trade (some of them were characters I'm not super interested in) AND that I got the one I was looking for.

Illuminations was about to start and we found a spot in Italy.

I like Illuminations, but it doesnt totally cut the core of me like Wishes and Fantasmic! do.

As we were leaving, we could see the Frozen fireworks!

We wanted to head to DTD, so we headed to the front of the park. I took a gratuitous selfie of my new hat and my Oliver and Co pin

Hi There :wave2:

I'm a fellow Bostonian joining in! Love your report so far. I am going in March 2015 with my BF so I am always glad to see fellow trip reports of people our age going without children. BF isn't too excited about the whole thing so I like to show him other people having fun to try to get him excited.

Congrats on drinking around the world. This is something we are definitely going to try. BF loves beer and trying ones he's never had so he is really looking forward to this part. Can't wait to keep reading!

It doesn't matter what age you are or with or without kids. It's so magical that you become a kid all over again! Have a blast and enjoy! We just got back a week ago after Thanksgiving and had a blast. Going back again in August 2015. That's one way of getting rid of the depression after you leave. pixiedust:

Just finished reading your other trip report and now what you've got of this one. Cannot wait to read the rest when you post it! Hope everything's swell and you're having fond dreams of Disney! :)

Hey fellow Bostonian!:wave2:My guy wasn't initially too excited about it, but he now loves it! I think a lot of young adults don't see the appeal till they are actually there. As an adult you appreciate so many different things (like how clean it is!) and being able to drink at the World definitely gives it more appeal. You can also do things like drinking around the mono rail bars :thumbsup2 We always have a great time and he now looks forward to it! I'll get to it in my report, but I would highly recommend the Hoop De Doo Review. The beer and wine is UNLIMITED :thumbsup2

Exactly!! I wish we were going tback next August. I'm not sure when our next trip will be and it's KILLING ME

Oh wow that's so cool! Thanks for tagging along!! Everything is good but I'm having TOO many fond dreams of Disney! I miss it so so much!

Yay a Maddie update.

I'm sorry that you won't be going back for awhile. :(

I love the entertainment and the drinking at Biergarten (the food...not so much anymore).

Great pics of Illuminations.

I am too. But Pete and I are scheming ways! I posted something on the Orlando Craigslist offering to shoot people's weddings for free in exchange for airfare and Disney tickets, so we'll see how that goes :goodvibes
