US travel agents

I know some of us were recently discussing US travel agents and a few of you have used some like Dreams Unlimted, etc. and had great results.

I wanted to mention a company that I know of as a good option to consider, www.mousetalestravel.com. It is run by Bob & Kimberly Hill, lovely people. I have been cyber friends with Kimberly for years now as we are both photographers and I have watched them build this travel business out of their love of all things Disney. They are total Disney fans, hehe. I will be getting them to handle my accom, tickets and adr's when we travel next as I like the idea of having someone handle all of the details for me, and not having to keep an eye out for free dining etc, knowing they would apply it anyway is comforting.

Anyway, just thought I would mention it in case anyone was considering doing something with a US TA. Worth getting a quote from them anyway.

How lucky are they though, to turn something that they love so much into a business. Actually hey, I guess I did that too, but it's not Disney, now that's magic .

I have used Magical Journeys twice now (www.magicaljourneystravel.com) and they are fantastic (well my TA from there has been). When the free dining came out the other day I emailed my TA as I had said that I wanted the free dining if it came out but would really prefer a % off (like 40%) to the free dining. Anyway I saw on disboards that a 40% discount was released on the same day as free dining for our dates so I quickly emailed my TA to say, "don't book free dining if I can get the 40% discount). She emailed back about half an hour later and said that she was on the phone to Disney when I emailed and she had already worked out that the 40% off was a much better deal for us so had had that applied to our booking already!

Oh she is a superstar, saved us about $2000! She also booked the Wanyama Sunset Safari for me too which saved me calling AKL as it can't be done online.

Why anybody would book a disney trip through an Aussie TA is beyond me, they are so expensive and not flexible at all.

Have to agree with Aussie Traveller with using Australian TA's.

I have always gotten a quote off them out of interest and even a well known brand that guarantees lowest price. They always come in way more expensive and once you book your trip and pay for it that is the end of the service.

As previously stated on the board I have used Dreams Unlimited and found them to be great. The best thing about MJT and DU is they specialise in Disney travel. Most Australian TA's have no idea how anything works at Disney.

I would have no problem recommending US TA's over Australian when it comes to Disney accommodation.
