Vegas -Weather in October?

Anne Marie, I loved it, thank you so much for taking the time to do that.

I loved hearing about all the different places where you ate... I like the sound of the Sterling Brunch:wizard, mmmmmmmmm Lobster !! mmmmmmmmm Champagne !!

I'm so glad you had a couple of wins at the casino, I hope I'm that lucky too.

I really don't mind if it's too cold for us to go swimming, I'm definitely not going all the way to Vegas to sit round a swimming pool. I'm hoping to come back to the UK absolutely shattered and in need of a week off to recover.... then I'll know I've made the most of Vegas.

We've just celebrated 18 years of marriage so I've got a few years to go before my 25th, but I've got a feeling that after this [ 1st ] trip to Vegas, I'll be spending ALL my anniversaries there.

Thanks again for sharing your trippie.

What is a players card? How do you get one? How do you get points on it?

Great trip report, gets me excited for my trip now (Oct 1-8).

Is Bally's sterling brunch expensive? It sounds great as does Olives and Mon Ami Gabi and I really want to go and see Love, I am a big beatles fan!

I hope my Husband and I are as happy as you guys by our 25th ann. We have just had our 2nd this year!

Yes, the Sterling Brunch is very expensive. I believe it is now $65 per person and you definitely need reservations. When we went last month we did the Champaign brunch in the Venetian at Zefferinos. It was also wonderful, but different than the Sterling Brunch. The food was of better quality, but it didn't have as many choices. The lobster was cold instead of broiled, but it tasted much better. It is also much quieter and classier at Zefferinos. Very romantic. But if it is the Champaign you're after, the Sterling Brunch had better quality. Zefferinos is cheaper, I think it was $50 per person, but well worth it. I'm not sure which one I like better.

Every casino has their version of a gambler's card (player's card). You should sign up for one at every casino you visit before you gamble. You will receive a card (and one for your spouse on the same account, if you want) and then every time you play at a slot machine, you insert the card. This way the casino knows how long you've gambled and you can receive points or credits towards things, such as a free buffet.

It is also good to sign up for the cards because that's how you will get future offers. By signing up for the Wynn card, they sent me an offer for 3 free nights in December (of course, I couldn't go!). But then they sent me an offer for $119 per night plus $100 free gambling credit. I used this offer to go in August.

I also just received an offer for free nights at Paris for November and December, but, once again, I can't go.

Alot of the casinos have the same owner, so you will only need one card. For example, if you sign up at PARIS, that card is good for PARIS, CEASARS PALACE, HARRAHS, FLAMINGO, RIO and a few others that I can't remember. If you sign up at BELLAGIO, that card will be good for BELLAGIO, MGM, NEW YORK, NEW YORK, MIRAGE, TREASURE ISLAND, etc. Each card has the casinos written on them.

The WYNN has it's own card, as does the VENETIAN.

I'm glad you liked my report.

Please, Please get tickets for LOVE. You will NOT be disappointed. Don't buy the most expensive tickets, because you are too close to the stage. Get the second level. We've seen it twice, once in Section 207 and once in Section 209. Both are great, but I prefer 207.

We go to Vegas the 3rd weekend of October pretty much every year and it's generally mid to upper 80's during the day but can get very cool at night. I'd suggest bringing a light jacket or sweater for the evenings at the very least.

Also make sure you have comfortable walking shoes as you will definitely need them. The casinos "LOOK" so much closer than they are. Even as many times as we've been to Vegas we still get fooled sometimes in thinking that the walk won't be "that" bad.....it always is!

Mon Ami Gabi is mid level priced meaning between 25-40 per person. If you eat there request a table outside. You can watch the Bellagio fountains and hear the music that goes with it from your table. It's really neat!

Everyone sums up the weather pretty good. Oct is a great time to visit. The heat of summer is starting to wane. It can also get quite windy this time of the year. Make that most of the year. Today is nice and sunny but wind advisories out for most of the day. It is just starting to kick up now. Enjoy your trip!pirate:
