Within the last couple of weeks, I have been looking into both of my Mom's dresses. I want something floor length, but I'm still not sure what color I want them to wear. I will have to figure that out soon since we are going shopping for my DF's mom dress next week. lol Here are some updates on other things I have been working on:
Floral
I'm looking to have a red garden rose bouquet with some scattered stephanotis petals and white lilies, but decided against the garden roses because my DF said they looked diseased and like they were dying. . .lol I thought it was hilarious since they have quite a bit of a mark-up. I even got an estimate from Disney Floral.
Bridal Bouquet: $420 and with standard roses it would be $350. I'm thinking of using an outside floral for my personal floral because I notice that Disney's prices are double than the other florists. But, then I think about the convenience.
Bridesmaids Bouquet: White garden roses: $150 and with standard roses: $115
Candy Bar
I asked for some pricing on if I decided to do a candy bar and Sarah from floral was awesome and did some research at got back to me within a couple of days. This is the estimate she gave me for our party of 50:
Skittles- $18.50+
Salt Water Taffy- $14.25+
Haribo Gummy Bears- $28.00+
Pixie Stix- $14.00+
Jelly Bellys- $43.00+
Gumballs- $20.00+
Blue Licorice (I am only able to get this in via a large order- 12 pounds!) $69.00+
Delivery- $40.00
Assorted Candy Jars- $15.00+ each/rental
Scoops/Tongs- $5.00+ each/rental
50 White Take Out Boxes- $50.00+
Candy Bar Signs- $5.75+/each
Cake
I found this dragon castle cake on disneyweddings.com and loved it so much that I have been looking at for a couple of months. I wasn't sure how much it costs, but just got an update from my wedding planner Pamela and her assistant Courtney (who btw are AWESOME!!!) today that they heard back from the bakery. The cake is $3,250!!! But, because it is a part of our F&B minimum we can do it! When I say I am SUPER EXCITED!!! This is a phenomenal cake. It has nothing to do with our theme, but my DF keeps telling me that it doesn't have to, but it's all a part of the fantasy of Disney!!! Here is the cake below:
That's all for now. Our planning session is in a couple of weeks so I probably won't have many updates before then.
