Weird. Wasn't this old news -Adult costume ban?

My local Atlanta news had a news story this morning about Disney banning adults from wearing character costumes.

Unless I am mistaken, wasn't this a thing at least a year ago? (not MNSSHP though, just regular days)

It's been a thing for ages. I remember years ago seeing a group of people turned away from MK because they were in (generic) princess costumes.

It's been in place for years but every once in a while someone either 1) doesn't read the rules or 2) thinks the rules don't actually apply to them and then you have people turned away at the park. Then they run to the news because they were "kicked out of Disney World just for wanting to have fun."

With Disney Bounding, adults do have an alternative. And Disney has embraced the bounding, just look at the dress shop at DS.

Disneybounding is the best alternative. I don't blame Disney at all for the ban. You don't want to ruin a child's dream of meeting their favorite character not be in character at all.

Yea can understand it too. Or especailly if the guest was rude to some kid or something could really ruin the character for them even more than being out of character, and Disney has no control over this really once they are in the gate so they have to stop them there.
