Were you ever on TV

First time in February 1975. Was online for the New WDW attraction Space Mountain. At the time the Apollo Soyuz mission was about the launch at the cape and the astronauts and Cosmonauts were being escorted to the ride by Mickey Mouse in a space suit. Myself, My Friend, and My Sister were shown waiting in the two hour line.

In 1990 the local school district was closing my children's school. I was interviewed by the local news crew.

In 2009, The US Open (Golf) was being played near my house. Since parking was limited near the event, I charged $50 per car to park on my lawn. The NYC news station WNBC thought it was unique that I had twelve cars parked on my lawn. They interviewed me while I was sitting their with my two Westies.

When I was in kindergarten the local news did a story about a classmate of mine that needed a transplant. :( I wasn't shy so they interviewed me, and I'm happy to say she's doing well now!

I was an extra in the movie "October Sky," which is sometimes shown on TV nowadays. Does that count? ;)

A couple of times ... a long time ago. I worked for a company whose owner donated a large amount to the Jerry Lewis telecon, so they had us sit in the background answering phones while the check was presented. Afterwards, we were chatting, and they said they needed someone who spoke Spanish to ask for donations on the local channel. I raised my hand, and they told me in half an hour I would talk. I immediately ran to a pay phone and called my dad and asked him what I should say since I was still learning at the time. :teeth:

I was interviewed for the Spanish channel news for an event that was going on in Downtown LA about exempt/non-exempt employees.

Both times I was on very briefly, but I had people come up to me asking if that was me on tv. :)

3 times local news (2 personal interest stories & 1 natural disaster).
Twice on "Truck & Tractor Power" on TNN, once on Xtreme4x4 on "Spike".

I was on the MTV game show, "Remote Control", when I was a college student in the late 80's. Adam Sandler and Colin Quinn were on the show. :goodvibes

Um yes. I've been on local, regional and national TV.

Since you didn't say what you were actually in, like everyone else did, I'm wondering if you were an actor. My wife was a child actress when she was young. She was never "famous" or even well known, but she was in several things and had to work consistently through her childhood. I did not find out about it until much, much later, and when I found out she was embarrassed- She doesn't like to talk about it. Maybe you don't like to talk about it either?

I was on local news, not interviewed, but in a crowd protesting our crappy school board, a couple of times. I also ended up in the local version of a documentary on school reform. Don't know yet if I'll end up in the national version, which will be coming out soon. Look for the film, it's called Education Inc. and here's the trailer. http://vimeo.com/112351841/comments

I was on a show called Columbus Goes Bananas as a young kid.

Went to Ohio State and was seen briefly in The Jesse Owens Story starring Danny Glover (was seen sitting on a bench while "Jesse" was walking around Mirror Lake talking to a young lady (my friend was the actress).

Moved to FL and was interviewed by local news station walking into a grocery store prior to a hurricane. They asked if I was there to get supplies and I said I was only there to get beer! Which was the truth.

Was on a feature news story about home energy efficiency in Austin, TX

And filmed a segment here in Denver called Cool Tools a few years ago.

I got to sit in the rocking chair next to "Big Brother", a kids show in the Boston area more than a few dozen years ago. Then I got to stand and drink my milk with him as we saluted President Eisenhower.

In a commercial once. (not professional!)

I won a contest and was flown out to CA to be an extra on the tv show "Head of the Class" (Howard Hesseman, Robin Givens, etc.). The cast was all incredibly sweet and I thought it was so funny that Ms. Givens said to me, "You won a contest and they flew you out here? You're so lucky! I never win anything!"
It was an amazing experience, especially because I was such a star-struck teenager.

That's me just below the arrow under the yellow roof. Best seat in the house!:rotfl:

Yes, once as a child. I was on a show where we sang and danced. It was not in the USA.

Then I was on TV when there was a local station doing a stint on working in the area where the Riots were in LA. They featured the school I worked in.

Another time they filmed a movie at my school with Edward James Olmos. I was in a dance shot, but I was told it was cut from the film (hope it wasn't my dance moves!)

Awesome!

Yes - on an episode of "I didn't know I was pregnant." No, I wasn't the the one who didn't know I was pregnant. I was the paramedic who delivered the baby in the back of my ambulance.

On a side note, I hate seeing and hearing myself recorded. So I have never watched the episode.

Yes I have been on TV twice.

First was in HS when TRL was in Tampa for the Superbowl. We were in the audience in the first row so there were quite a few crowd shots of us. PLUS I got to touch Nick Lachey's hand. Be jealous.:rotfl:

Second was just a few months ago when DH returned from deployment. There was a news crew there and the guys he was with made DH do the interview. He was NOT happy because he is VERY shy. I was stumbling like Frankenstein in my heels in the intro to the piece as we walked through the terminal.

Many times. I worked in television for many years. I've been interviewed, conducted interviews, live reports etc. I remember the time they needed me to do a live report from our news helicopter about a small plane crash (I was the photographer on duty and no time to run back to the station to pick up the reporter). I was super pissed off to have to go up that afternoon as I got the call not just at the end of my shift, but it came after I had driven all the way home, and had to turn around and drive back to the hangar.

The anchor threw to me up in the chopper with some inane comment like "What happened down there Jen?" and I couldn't help it...I was really mad about having to be back at work and said something along the lines of "I'm no aeronautics expert Pat but it looks like the plane crashed."

I was in the studio audience of the Dini Petty show (a local talk show) once. I think I saw myself as they panned the audience. :hyper: That's about it.

I've been on the radio lots of times though. ::yes::
