What are you doing for the first time this trip?

The new thing on my May trip was that I went to DLR instead of WDW.

New thing on Oct trip is that I'm going to do MNSSHP. Never been to any of the parties.

We've got several firsts planned for dining:

California Grill
Hollywood Brown Derby
Le Cellier
Boma
50s Prime Time
Artist Point

Other firsts...

Behind the Seeds Tour
Staying at WL for first time

I just did a trip with a few firsts:

BOG (we toured during the soft opening, but hadn't eaten there)
SDMT
Behind the Seeds Tour
Illuminations Dessert Party
Stayed at Pop Century
50's Prime Time Cafe
1900 Park Fare (highly recommend for breakfast)
FastPass+

Let's see, this last trip was all about firsts:
Undiscovered Furture World Tour
Lunch at Sanaa
Pick a Pearl
Hoop De Doo
Spice Road
Only spending a half day at MK... still not sure how that happened
Actually taking an afternoon off... come to think of it, probably related to half day at MK
Frozen Sing-along... didn't know any of the songs but fortunately the Dad behind me did

Our new thing for our 2016 so far will be Discovery Cove (no Dolphin swim), but we are thinking about a Disney backstage tour too.

This will be our 5th family WDW vacation (skipped 2014) after our first in 2010. It also might be our last, for quite some time. Kids are getting old enough :sad1: that WDW is fading compared to other options like cruises. We agree that the key for us is trying new things each trip to make it fresh and keep the magic alive.

The major first's this trip :
  • Water Parks
  • Park Hoppers
  • Via Napoli
  • 7DMT
  • Trying to make this year as relaxed as possible. More go with the flow, and maybe way more time at the resort. We'll see how that goes. ;)

We don't want to give up our fav TS locations, so we have a lot of repeats there... Cape Mays, Hoop Dee Doo, 'Ohana, BOG lunch, Coral Reef, Yak & Yeti...

Dan

On my next trip:
  • running my first half marathon (hopefully!)
  • staying at Coronado Springs
  • princess breakfast at Akershus
  • Hollywood Brown Derby
  • Jiko!
  • Dining somewhere different at EPCOT - maybe San Angel Inn or Le Cellier or Via Napoli
  • Trader Sam's!

Lots of firsts!

Garden Grill
Pop Century (actually it's our first time staying on property)

Finally did Ellen's Energy Adventure
7DMT
Flights of Wonder in AK - awesome!
Ate at the Tangerine Cafe in Morroco - really good!

What a bummer to hear! Was it the food that was bad? Do you think it helps that we'll be on the dining plan in regard to concerns about cost?

If you were on the dining plan that is one restaurant where it is actually better to pay OOP! Our family of five shares the $41 pizza and it's plenty (you can 't do that on the dining plan...they make each person order their own entree. We loved the pizza and have eaten there twice. :)

For our upcoming trip in Dec, it will be our first time:
- without kids (25, 22, 18)
- going to Hoop de doo and Flying Fish
- staying at BWV
- having a Starbucks coffee in each and every park
- not doing rope drop (with FP+)
- doing slower attractions like animation academy, American president thing, Figment etc.
