What is the most exciting thing you have done through work?

I got to go to Guam, which was pretty cool. Probably would never have gotten there on my own.

Most exciting was when I produced some documentary work for a school in Botswana and went on safari. I also trained at Apple Campus in Cupertino when I was younger.

For me, got to do a dinner cruise on a paddle boat on the Ohio River.

For DH, he was awarded 2 trips through his old job: Quebec and stayed in La Chateau Frontenac and Atlantis. Both were amazing and spoiled us rotten!!

I piloted a guided missile destroyer once, for about 2 hours. I was on the ship temporarily and we were way, way out in the ocean and nothing I could run us into. :D

I got to meet Sir Bobby Charlton, Now to you folks in the US, this might not mean much but when England won the World Cup back in 1966, Sir Bobby was on the team. He played for Manchester United for most of his career and is widely considered one of the best players of all time as well as being a national hero over here in the UK. It would be like meeting Babe Ruth or Michael Jordan. He was such a gentleman. He shook my hand and asked about the work I was doing with Manchester schools. I told him, had my dad been alive, he would have been so proud to know that I had met his hero. We chatted about football and going to see Manchester United play at the FA cup final with my dad. He laughed and said he'd probably seen me there. You don't get many perks being a school leader, but that was mine.

We stayed at the Chateau on part of honeymoon. It was beautiful!

We hosted Sarah, Duchess of York, for an afternoon. I helped set up the logistics, but unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to meet her. I talked to the person who escorted her around and she said she was very nice - chatted about Eugenie's (then upcoming) wedding and even talked about her relationship with Her Majesty.

I got to attend several hockey games in the corporate box and prime location seats over the season when I worked in sponsorships and global marketing of a large company. I was thisclose to getting to go on a 5-day roadtrip with the team - riding on the team jet, etc., before it was pulled back to give to a customer instead. I was so bummed!

After reading these posts I think I'm in the wrong line of work - Haha!

For me, the biggest thing I can think of is tickets to a University of Kentucky basketball game (Guess where I'm from...) and also I got to attend a Cincinnati Reds game. Nothing terribly exciting but I do like where I work.

My DD and I have been lucky to tag along with my DH on some work trips - not rewards but conferences in Orlando are never a bad thing :) We sure got to stay in nicer resorts than we do on our own!

Isn't taking the helm the easiest job on pretty much any naval vessel? Just point it where they tell you to? Not that there isn't a risk of screwing up.

I've gotten a few game tickets through work. Once it was one of our investors who gave us use of his suite at the then Oracle Arena for a Golden State Warriors game. On top of that, we had a few VIP parking passes that allowed parking in a lot right next to the arena.

I've barely gone on any work trips. Maybe San Diego a couple of times and Las Vegas a few times for various trade shows.

Ride in a helicopter, rappelling, and throwing 2 grenades. Also, a fair amount of travel in a couple of my jobs (army and travel speech therapy later). On my last day of work at a nursing home in Idaho, I'd already discharged all my patients, so my boss let me take the day off. I went to Jackson Hole--saw the elk reserve and ate fancy food-- which was pretty cool for a work day.
