What large gatherings will you be attending?

I had a business breakfast thing that was cancelled due to the virus they wanted to limit the number of people employees come in contact with. My friend had a stair climb cancelled for this weekend and my other friend just had a business conference she was going to in Nashville next week cancelled.

We don't have anything planned until Jazzfest in New Orleans. It starts at the end of April and we're planning to go the first weekend in May. We're hoping it doesn't get cancelled and/or bands don't start dropping out. I'm watching for updates obsessively!

I am a gymnastics coach in the middle of meet season. I will be at large competitions every weekend except Easter until the first weekend in May.

My brother is a caterer in Austin. Canceling SXSW is going to break him. It is normally his biggest week of the year.

We have Disney on Ice tickets for May. Then my cousin is getting married in July in another state. I haven’t bought the airline tickets yet. I am hoping things blow over by then.

WDW at the end of April for my birthday.
WDW at the end of May for Memorial Day.
Plus, I work at a large university.

(And, does going to the mall count?)

Most of the festivals in the next month or so are going to be cancelled or postponed. It is just a waiting game to see who has to eat the loss , bands, promoters or fans. Coachella and Festival already have been postponed. No doubt the rest will too, they are just shakier with the financial stability. SXSW and Ultra are not even refunding tickets. No refunds will be the case for the others as well because they don't have the money to refund

I am going to a conference tomorrow that has surprisingly not been cancelled. A couple of hundred people. I will not be shaking hands or partaking in the buffet lunch

We have volleyball tournaments every weekend in March for my middle school daughter’s club team. Sometimes hundreds, sometimes thousands of people. Canceling them would be hard for the girls, but for the clubs running the tournaments- wow. That would be an enormous financial loss.

Her team is going to regionals at the Georgia World Congress Center at the end of April, and nationals at ESPN Center in June. That’s a huge tournament.

It’s so sad to think of all the young people, parents, and coaches across the country who could have their entire sports seasons disrupted because of this.

Going to a musical Friday night - part of our Broadway series season package.

My son's soccer club (not his particular team) was scheduled to go to Las Vegas this weekend for a series of league games. The entire event has been cancelled - no idea how they're going to manage to reschedule all those games.

I'm going to the casino with 3 friends for the next few days. Probably the most germy place in the world :crazy2:. But I'm also a teacher and will most likely be back to work in the second most germy environment on Monday so there's really no avoiding it. So we will gamble and hopefully the alcohol will keep the virus at bay :teeth:.

I just started a weekend job at Six Flags, so crowds are inevitable.

I have one tonight with expected attendance in the low hundreds. Tomorrow through Saturday I will be around thousands of people. It will be interesting to see if the numbers turn out tonight and over the next few days. I received an email earlier today saying a meeting scheduled for next Tuesday has been cancelled due to virus concerns, and that involved a few dozen people.

I’m not actively seeking out events right now. I’m in NYC. Ds and I normally go to the Big East tournament but I decided against it. It doesn’t seem like the prudent thing to do. We were going to see a lacrosse game at my niece’s college next weekend, but now students are being sent home Friday for two weeks so that’s out too. My dc’s school is open but many in our neighborhood have closed. They had field trips scheduled for Friday which were canceled. We have plans to go to Arizona for Easter but I’m going to wait and see.

My BF flew to Texas, only to have their huge rodeo cancelled, so she's sitting by the pool. Sounds better than our 35 degrees and rain/snow!

Looks like the NCAA BB Tournament will now be played to empty arenas. March Madness, not quite as Mad this year.

I was hoping to see Janet Jackson in mid August, but I don’t have tickets yet and it’s a long way away so we shall see.
