For us it was BWV.

Boardwalk, even though we wanted OKW. At the time, there was only OKW and BWV at WDW. Our guide told us that there was nothing left at OKW and we couldn't find anything resale, so that's what we bought.

Had we been able to buy when we originally wanted to, in 1993 or 4, we'd be at OKW. We're saving for our first add-on and it will be at OKW.

OKW and all add-ons are OKW. We would like to add on more OKW points, but only want points that expire in 2042. I guess that means resale.

That's interesting. What we did was when we saw a resale of approximately the same number of points at OKW as our purchase through DVC at another resort, we bought OKW, then sold the other. No, it probably wasn't the "best" move since both BWV and VWL (which was what we'd had) are smaller and probably more desirable, but you can't put a price on being an owner where your heart is.

We flew down to WDW in April 2001 to buy 250 points at VWL. There were no sales in NY State yet and the price was about to jump.
