Should I drive back to Salem on Sun? or wait till Memorial Day wknd?
We have also found out that the doc needed to fix the mitral valve. He had told us after the operation Mon but it came in and went out our overloaded minds.
He is attached to a pacemaker. Docs are trying to wean him from it.
He needed to have a blood unit given to him both Wed & Th
He did get up and start to walk yesterday (Thurs)
The speech & swallowing lady is still coming by to help him drink thickened orange juice so it wont go down the wrong pipe.
I spoke with him yesterday on the phone and he sounds like he's aged.
so what do I do? Drive back up there? or wait? My plan was to wait but Im just not sure anymore
I think Im gonna wait till Sun to decide. If he's still in CSU (cardiac surgery unit) Sun DS & I will go visit him. If he's been moved to either rehab or home we'll wait till Sat the 24th?
