You can cancel and get the money back. Opt for either a one-way car rental or one of any number of ride-share or limo services.

If you're not yet at the point where you can check in, you stand a chance of still getting a good check-in time without the transfers. If you've already checked in, might end up being a bit of a wash in terms of whether you'll board the ship earlier or not getting yourself to the port on your own.

The two times that we have done it from the parks, we just hung around the resort. We walked around, the kids traded pins, they played some video games in the arcade, and we just had a nice slow breakfast. It was a long wait at Pop for us, but worth not running around for me personally.

We decided one time to do a nice breakfast and then head back to the resort to rest until out 12:30 departure. Well, when we got back at 9:30 am, our luggage had been picked up and mousekeeping was already turning the room over for the next guests. They thought we were done in the room. So we ended up hanging out in the lobby for over 2 hours. The pick up time was 12:30 but they request you arrive 30 minutes prior to pick up. Thankfully the lobby had cartoons playing for the kids. I fell asleep on the couch waiting lol.
