Wheelchairs at Water Parks

Hello. My family and I are travelling to WDW in August. My grandmother (83) is coming along for part of our trip and wanted to go to the water park with us (I'm yet to decide if we are headed to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach). We will rent an ECV to help get around the theme parks, but I was wondering about using an ordinary wheel chair for the water park.
So, are regular wheel chairs available at the water parks? Anyone know how much they cost at the water parks? How far is the walk from the bus drop off location to where we would pick up a wheel chair?
We will have her take the ECV if we think it is too much walking, but there is a possibility we would take a taxi or uber back to the hotel after the water park, so I thought it would be easier without the ECV.

Thanks!

Thanks so much for your response, but I'm trying to find out information about regular wheelchairs at the water park. Is there a fee to rent a regular wheelchair at the water parks and does anyone know how long of a walk it is from the bus drop off to where you would get a wheel chair?

My grandmom does not use an ECV at home, but does need it when we go to any theme parks. She can walk the mall to go shopping (slowly), but definitely not the speed of my 6 year old twin boys. However, we were really hoping to not take the ECV to the water park, but will if we need to.

Thanks!
I have searched a bunch prior to posting and keep finding conflicting information, so maybe I'll report on this when I return!
Disney's website says,
Walt Disney World Water Park and Disney Springs
  • Daily: $12
  • A refundable $100 deposit is required at these locations.
However, other sites say there is no charge for wheelchairs at the water park as well as the link gap2368 (Thanks!) posted. So, I'm not sure if the other sites aren't updated and/or which one is accurate. I was hoping that someone on here would be able to share their experience or advice. I would be happy to the pay the extra $12 for my grandmom, but I'm sure she won't and roll her eyes at me since she will have already rented an ECV for the duration of the trip.

I jsuted googled and that site come up it maybe old, not accurate or anything, but I am sure your grandmother will have a great time no matter what. I am sure people would love to hear how it went when you come back,

According to this link, wheelchairs are available for rent at Typhoon Lagoon. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/wheelchair-rentals/

Cost is $12 per day with a $100 refundable deposit. I have not heard of "free" wheelchairs at water parks, so I would plan to pay. The resorts used to have some wheelchairs available without charge, but that is extremely limited and basically not an option other than around the resort with a CM escort.

the link above also includes a map (when viewed on a computer, I couldn't get the map to come up on my phone) which shows the rental location with regards to the bus drop-off. I have not personally been to Typhoon Lagoon so I don't know the distance, but it looks like it could be a bit of a hike.

Enjoy your vacation!

Our son is a wheelchair user and although he uses his wheelchair at the water parks now I seem to remember that when he was a little more mobile it was only a short walk from the drop off point to the entrance. They also have wheelchairs that you can wheel into the water if your grandmother wanted to dip her feet in.

My son has Duchenne muscular dystrophy and can no longer walk on his own. I was wondering if he could use his wheelchair and be lifted into the main pools or the lazy river. Glad to hear they have accessible chairs for water. Do you have any advice for a child who cannot walk?
