Where have you gone recently on a date with your spouse or S/O?

I guess it's because we usually combine dinner out with a shopping excursion since we live far away from most restaurants and stores

We went thrifting Saturday. That's so fun! Then we went to lunch.

DH and I went to the movies a couples of weeks ago.

We've also been walking together lately. It's really for exercise, not technically a "date", but it's turned out to be nice couple time as well.

Breakfast out - we haven't done that in awhile. Need to put that on the list :)
Much better than making it at home. It's such a pain in the a$$ to put together eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes and toast at home. And forget about eggs Benedict , waffles or fancy crepes altogether. An hour or so to cook and a dozen pans to clean up...yeah iHOP! :cheer2:

sushi and a scorpion bowl at our favorite sushi place! the date was complete with door holding, sitting on the same side of the booth and him picking up the tab.

We've been making a point weekly to head out to a large park to catch their summer concerts. We talk frequently about why exactly it is that our kids are grown and yet it's still all too infrequently that we get out on a "date". I've made a ruling that running to Home Depot no longer counts.

This weekend we went to Hash House A Go Go at the casino. It was medicore at best. We then looked around the casino and I won $60 on a .05 cent machine

Our last date was to a nice Indian restaurant. The owner is a local celebrity chef who I always see on the news and our local show so I was curious to try this one since it is close to home. The food was excellent but very rich.

The last time we went away, was for a nice long 4 wheeler ride in the woods  alone......... last Wednesday. Friday we went out with friends for some day drinking but that wasn't alone. Does drinking a bottle of wine and talking for 3 hrs last night on the back deck count, the kid was in the house????

Now that our twins are 17, they are off with friends a lot. DH & I just went out to dinner last Friday. I work part time and DH works from home, so we meet for lunch a lot. When the kids were younger and in religious education classes, we had a regular date night because the class was 1 1/2 hours long every other week during the school year. After they made their Confirmations and were done with RE, we made it a point to have regular dates. We felt it was important to be a couple as much as be parents.
