Where to fly out from???

We livein Ottawa and we were wondering where we could get a good cheap US flight from that wouldn't be too far away?

Where do people from Ottawa go to in the USA to get cheap flight and please don't say the Ottawa Airport because that is not funny

Burlington, Vermont is what I read about Montrealers flying out of USA. I don't know the closest airport on the other side of the boarder from Cornwall? Check out Southwest departure cities! Sandra

Syracuse, NY is also pretty close ( I think closer than Burlington?) Last year while I was booking I had Travelocity watch Ottawa, Montreal and Syracuse departures. Ended up flying out of Ottawa. There seemed to be better deals out of Montreal but for our dates Ottawa was more convenient. You can also check out Expedia (Travelocity and Expedia have both US and Canadian sites so you can check all 4 to see which is quoting the best deal.) Lots of legwork but we got a flight out of Ottawa for CAN$280, which seemed the best deal after surfing for 3 months! Good luck!

I live in Ottawa & have joined something on Expedia where they e-mail me once a week with the best rates to select cities (which I have chosen...one of them being Orlando) from Ottawa. The latest e-mail (June 3) shows return flights to Orlando for $277 CAD. Haven't followed the link in the e-mail to check it out because we're driving (my friend is afraid to fly so we're picking her up in Kitchener) but it might be worth checking out expedia.ca. I'm sorry I didn't see this post earlier!

We fly out of Syracuse N.Y. it's easy enough to go down the night before and fly from there. Our flight was 98.00 dollars rt. this came to 156.00 CAD including all taxes.

I felt that 468.00 CAD for three people rt. to Orlando was well worth the drive!

That rate was posted by Northwest on Expedia. I always check from Ottawa and Syracuse and start at least three months ahead.

When a rate like the one I got comes up I book it right away as the seats go fast! I once missed out on a rate of 56.00 dollars rt from Syracuse by not jumping on it fast enough

Now if we could just get those rental car rates at par???LOL.
