Which dessert party?

I'm going on an extended trip with all of my sibling, their kids, my kid, and my parents in October.

I'm wanting to treat them something special on the trip. I'd like to do one dessert party with them at one of the parks or there are exactly 10 of us so I'm also considering the "Ferrytale Dessert Party" on our rest day.

Does anyone have any opinions on which one they like best? Anything you didn't like about certain ones? I'm pretty set on a dessert party before you say it's not worth it. We are a dessert family.

We are going to do the Star Wars dessert party! I've heard really good things about it! And you get a VIP viewing spot for fireworks plus a souvenir cup.

We've done the Star Wars dessert party as well as Illuminations. Loved them both- the Illuminations one now includes a VIP ride at Frozen following Illuminations.

Star Wars (as of a year ago):

• Fun Desserts, especially the flash frozen Nutella (and I don't typically like Nutella)
• No real place to sit for either desserts or the show you get to stand for both
• Air Conditioned room
• Front and center for the show great view, nice Wookie mug

Happily Ever After - Plaza Garden Viewing

• Wide selection of desserts and beverages
• Plenty of seats to rest in after a long day
• Covered outdoor seating for dessert
• Uncovered outdoor seating in the grass for the show
• Good viewing spot, clear views of the castle for the light show and the fireworks

I would re-do the Plaza party before I would re-do Star Wars.

I've only done the Star Wars dessert party (and we got a tie-fighter popcorn bucket at ours, not the Chewbacca cup). We liked it! The desserts were fun. I liked the frozen nutella best, but there were plenty of other options, including some cheese and fruit. There is also alcohol at the SW party if that makes a difference to you. We also met Chewbacca while we were there with practically no line. You get a Stormtrooper escort to the viewing area. I would do it again except it turns out I'm not the biggest fan of the SW fireworks show itself!

I'm trying the Plaza garden party next time.

I have done all of the parties, several times.

Illuminations Dessert Party for sure!

First you get a seat. They have assigned seating with a great view of Illuminations.

They have great Dessert and Savory options. I am more of a savory gal and I love the cheese fondue with bread/pita.

The bar selections. Great bar!

A private ride with no wait on Frozen. I am not a huge Frozen fan, but I really liked going on the ride once Illuminations was over. They did not hurry you out, let you finish your food and drinks.

I have done the SW and HEA parties with Terrace and Plaza viewing. My favorite was the HEA Plaza viewing. Great view and awesome fireworks!I just love those fireworks and light show . I did not care for the view from the Terrace. I also thought the Star Wars party was nice and the light show and fireworks were amazing. I just HEA a bit more.

with 10 I'd do an Illuminations cruise. It holds 10 people, is about half the cost per person of a dessert party and you can arrange dessert (probably better than the parties) through private dining and probably still come out ahead.

If you are considering the ferrytale thing, I would do a HEA cruise instead... again private boat and for 10 people much less per person than for any of those things.

Both come with rice krispie treats and other snacks but can be catered through private dining too.
