Also....WHY is GF $1,260 PER NIGHT for a regular room in October?? We haven't been since 2019 but didn't pay anything near that? Contemporary is $597 per night. Should I hold out and wait....do sales even exist anymore? Yikes...talk about sticker shock.

Well, first, what type of Contemporary room and what type of Grand Floridian room? The Grand as the oh-so-fancy flagship is pretty much always the most expensive - but that differential sounds like you're looking at something Garden Wing in the Contemporary and TPV or Club Level or a Suite for the Grand.

Disney removed an entire outer building at GF and converted it to DVC resort studios. That means fewer cash rooms inventory.

They added the walkway to the MK since you stayed there. This makes it an even more attractive place to stay when you're leaving at park closing or after a party.

October has become an even more popular time of year travel because of milder weather, F&W, Halloween Party and an uptick in the number of K-12 schools that do a midterm break.

Decreased supply + Increased demand = Higher prices

Yes, all of that. BUT it still seems like it's Garden Wing at the Contemporary prices vs. Club Level at the Grand.

OP - what are your exact dates you're looking at?

Probably a TPV outer building at GF, not CL. But you're probably right about the CR price being a GW room. Apples to oranges.

I checked a random stay, October 17 to 21st. Cheapest room is main bldg CL $1294 per night.

Contemporary garden view is $603.
Edited to add Disney is calling the GF a standard room, as opposed to a suite. OP, as we suspected, is making an apples to oranges comparison
