WOC desert party

Is there a way to guarantee you aren’t seated with other people? Does high of low table make a difference? There are 3 of us and really would like a private table like they do at WDW dessert parties.
I think the only way to totally guarantee it would be if you were a party of four. They could potentially add a single to a party of three, but that might not happen. Parties of two will be seated with other parties of two. They definitely try to sell all the space.

We have a reservation for a second party (booked in the morning 60 days ahead but I guess the first parties went really fast). What is the best strategy to have the most time to sit and enjoy before the show? From what I have read it seems like it is pretty tight between the first and the second show.

We were a party of two and we were told people would sit with us no matter the type of table we chose. The high top table had 5 people, and that 5th chair came from our table, and so we had just one other person join us. They crowd you all in.

Do you still have to share your table for the second show? My daughter is about as introverted as they come.

We were the second show, so you will have to share. However, we did not have much time to talk with our table mate because the food came immediately and then shortly after the show started.

When I was there in June, it was fruit, cheese, and a gluten free brownie type cake with a white chocolate medallion on top. I found myself wishing I had some gf crackers for the cheese.
Thank-you, sounds good! I'll let his Mom know to bring some extra snack, crackers that he can have.

Definitely no guarantee! I had originally booked for our party of 4, but then my oldest decided she didn’t want to go. After we had been seated for a while, it looked as though our party of three was not going to have anyone joining us. Last minute though, we had a solo traveler seated in the available chair. We had no issue with it though, and enjoyed chatting with him and giving him tips for his upcoming WDW trip. 😊 Oh, he also mentioned that he had booked the one seat the day before 😆 It’s likely not that common for a solo park visitor to book the experiences, but it can happen!

I go to Disneyland solo quite often. I always book the WOC Dessert package for myself. The last time I went was pre-pandemic I was seated at a high-top table and they did not sit anyone with me. I booked the event for myself in September so it will be interesting to see if I am seated with others. It won't bother me, I can be sociable on occasion.

Just wanted to give an update! Even being as far back as we were in the check-in line, we had a table with a great view.

We had table 2, and I thought the view was perfect. It was the next to the last table on the left, but it was a high top table in the front row. Table 3 next to us was a low top, so I thought it was odd that they had 2 high top tables in the very front row.

Also, I had read about the glowing sipper cups only being given to kids ages 3-9. I mistakenly told my 10 year old daughter about it, and she wanted one (of course). When our server took our drink order, he asked her how old she was, and she said 10. I didn't even ask him about the cups (and neither did my daughter), but he brought one out for her knowing that she was 10. So not sure if something changed? However, my 13 year old son didn't get one, so who knows.

Here was our view:

If we are a party of 6, what are the seating options? We were only able to get the second show but I will be stalking the reservations to change to the first, since the second seems like a royal mess with a whole lot of waiting….

Was this line for both the first and second show? Or was there a separate line for the second show?
There is a separate line for the second show.

This happened to us, too. We thought we were arriving early but the line was already long. But even with the line like that we still got a great table.

Just the line for the first show. Also, since I've read that people were able to leave after receiving their wristbands, we were told to stay in the line until we were escorted to our tables.

We will be a party of 6 also going in November. Hoping you get some responses!

If we get there at 8:00 to check in for the 2nd show will there still be good tables available?

I've been to the Dessert party twice in the last 5 years, the first time was my family of 4 at a table and the second time it was my DH and I at a table with 2 other people. So I'm assuming it is 4 to a table. We will be going this November/ December with 7 this time, so I think it will be 4 at one table and 3 at the other, with a possibility of a solo person joining the party of 3.

We were a party of 6 for the first show on August 2. We were fairly well back in line for checking in, but they said they had several tables for parties of 6 and asked if we wanted a high or low table (we chose low as we had a disabled guest). We ended up with table 45, which was the farthest-right low table. It wasn't a single table so much as two round tables for 4 pushed together with six chairs around it. It made eating a little awkward but nothing too bad, and was better than our party being split. Here's a picture of our view (a few people ended up standing on the steps right in front of us but we could still see just fine). You can see the two tables at the bottom of the picture. It was a fabulous experience!
