Writing a trip report question ......

I really want to attempt a TR when I get back in March.
I have gotten so many great ideas from all the ones I have read, and
would just love to relive our memories ! :wizard:
But, my question is:
Do most people start writing their reports on word, then copy to the boards ?
-Or just start writing directly on your post ?
-Is there is limit of pictures and words per each post ?
-I just started a photobucket account, and have seen the video tutorial,
so I think I can figure out how to post pictures.
-And, I plan to take notes each day of our trip. (hopefully)
:)Any other advice on writing trip reports will be appreciated:)

If you have MS Word, that would work. I use Notepad because it's much quicker. Any word processor application will do.

Type directly on post will do too but comes with a risk. If your browser lock up in the middle of typing or when you click the submit button, then everything will get erase when you reboot the computer. You will have to start all over again.

I believe there is a maximum of 25 pictures per post.

Photobucket will do fine. It can link picture onto here.

I am too lazy to take notes. Instead, I kept taking pictures along the way everyday. Every place we go and every thing we do or eat. Drove DW nuts. :rotfl: Every picture will have a time stamp and that remind me what we did that particular day and particular time. That seems to work for me.

Have a wonderful and magical trip. pixiedust:

That's a good idea about the pictures.:thumbsup2
I don't know if mine can stamp the date and time. :confused3
I am going to try it.
Can you post the pictures to your word document, also. And then just
paste it all to your post ?
Thanks for the info !

When you shoot with a digital camera, every picture automatically has a file time/date stamp. For example, copy all the picture files on to your computer hard drive. Then open file manager from your computer. Navigate to the folder where your files are. Set the file manager to view in detail mode. You will see a date/time stamp next to each file. It's not that hard. Just take a little patience. Of course, the date/time stamp reference method would work only if the clock on the camera was set correctly ahead of time.

Picture within your word document can not paste on to your post. Pictures must be upload to Photobucket first. I am not familiar with Photobucket. But I think there is a "Share This" button when you view each picture. Click the "Share This" button, it will show you the link to the picture in multiple syntax. The syntax or string of code you want to choose is the
