I got a call from Karen introducing herself - she is going to be our planner. Has anyone on here worked with her, and if so, how was it? Thanks. :goodvibes

I am currently working with her now. I am an intimate bride with lots of questions. She has been very understanding and her emails have been prompt. Only one case a couple of weeks ago she didn't respond within a couple of days but she aplogised for that in her next email, as there are lots of Christmas Brides.

She has been pretty good at passing me onto people who are more specialist in certain areas - like flowers.

I have :goodvibes about her so far.

Karen H.? She is my planner. Are you havign a custom or intimate?
I have had trouble because she is so busy, otherwise, she is good.
Congrats on getting to the next step. Have you accessed your wishbook? So much fun!
Congratulations! :wave2:

I had Karen as my wedding planner. She was wonderful the whole process through. She was prompt with calls or emails and always friendly and knowledgable. My only area of concern was on the day of the wedding, the limo was suppose to pick me, my bridesmaids, and my parents at the Beach Club at 4:15. We were to be dropped off at the Grand Floridian by about 4:30-4:45 ish and have pictures there for about an hour, then go directly to the Wedding Pavilion where our ceremony was being held. Well, I was all ready by about 4:00 and anxiously began waiting for the limo. :cool1: 4:15 came and went, but I did not worry. 4:30 came and went, and my stomach had some butterflies. "Did they forget about me?" Maybe the boys were running late or something. 4:45, still no limo. At this point, I really begin to panic. :confused3 The guests coming in and out of the Beach Club lobby had so many nice things to say, and randome pictures were snapping away, but I truly began to panic at this point. By 4:45 I was suppose to already be at the Grand Floridian. So, I go to the front desk and ask to be connected to Disney weddings (I did not have Karen's direct # on me) THey could not get through, we tried and tried. By now, it is 5:00. My ceremony starts in a hour, and I just missed 15 minutes of my pictures. :guilty: We can not get ahold of Karen and I am frusterated becuase she was at the GF. Didn't she notice I am not there yet?? So, I grab my mom's cell and get my DH best man on the phone. He then hands the phone over to Karen, who says, dont worry, we will find the limo. My DH then says, "We need to figure out whats going on. This isnt right that she is so late". To make a long story short, the limo driver had been waiting outside the Yacht CLUB resort, not the Beach Club. :stir: It too WAY TO LONG to rectify this situation and the limo finially ended up coming at 5:35ish. By now, I am on the verge of tears. :sad2: My poor parents were beside themselves. How could the bride have been overlooked?? Anyway, by the time we get to the GF, it is about 5:50 or so. My 45-60 minute photo session turned into exactly 13 minutes (from the moment we left the limo at the GF to the moment we got back in the limo - my dad timed it). It wasn't so much that I was feeling bad for me, (although its truly the one day that suppose to be about you, and still someone managed to forget us) but my parents were paying and arm and a leg for Randy and Stan and we missed out on SO MUCH TIME!! So to make a long story short (or maybe its too late for that?!?! :rotfl2: ) I was an hour late for pictures, which caused the wedding to be held up by 20-25 minutes or so, which backed up pictures after the ceremony, which packed up the reception. (and you can't take time back....the reception ended up 12am regardless, so we lost the time). I just wish that aspect had been more organized. I am not pointing fingers at anyone, but someone needed to get on top of that and when you are paying so much money for someone to orchrastate your big day, you expect someone to fix a small problem like a hotel mix up before it ruins much more than a 15 minute window. We still had a beautiful day, and everything was just how we had imagined :cloud9: but just make sure everyone knows where they are to be at ALL TIMES!! Best wishes and I know you will have an incredible day! princess:

My parents had Karen.S for their intimate vow renewal and she was spectacular. Everything was taken care of EVERYTHING....She was lovely and caring and made their day seemless! My mother did not have to remember anything other than getting dressed. She made the day simply magical!

Thats great that you have your planner!! I have heard great things about her and I think you will be very pleased :) :)
