Yes! Disney again! It’s like tradition!!!Sept 2014 PTR

Since it is finally 2014 I thought I would start a PTR because I cannot help myself. I am still working on our TR from last September here.
I will have one from our November trip sometime, not sure when. I am also planning a Disney cruise with 16 of my family members in May. Yet I find myself planning for this trip more than the Disney cruise which will be a first for everyone. While in November I booked a free dining bounce back for us. We are trying some new things this time and I am really excited about this trip with just us two.
Cast
It will be just us two. I have no prince charming or happily ever after love story. My number 2 is my DS who will be turning 5 in September. He is pretty awesome and I am very blessed to have such an amazing boy. Just look at this face. This is his excited face in case you are wondering.

I’m me! I’m not photogenic and tend to be behind the camera. Don’t be alarmed!

This will be our first trip all alone outside of diapers and his first trip over 44 inches. He reached 40 last time but not quite tall enough for space and Everest!

When and where
We are booked at All-star sports September 16-24. Last year we made 3 trips and stayed at POP, YC, and POR respectively. Pop is a favorite of ours. We are usually value people because we prefer to stay at the parks all day. YC was a dream resort for me and because I was a grown up and started my career that year; I decided this was the time. We loved it. By far the best stay ever but I refuse to spend that much on a night. I felt even worse when I only went to storm along bay twice for the whole 8 days. We traveled with others and it helped the cost but it will need to be a while before we go back there. Our stay at POR was our first time at a moderate and it was amazingly perfect! I would not hesitate to stay there again. I was going to go back but like I said we are not in the room and it will just be us two so no extra room is needed. Besides, my kid says he wants to stay at sports!
Like I said before, we booked a bounce back for free dining. I upgraded to the regular plan. Even with going moderate without the upgrade, we still saved over 500 dollars!! I have so many plans and ideas running through my head I need somewhere to put them. Thanks for reading

I was blessed enough to go to Disney almost every year growing up. In 2007, I participated in the Disney college program. I worked future world north merchandise, working mostly in strollers and the stores under spaceship earth and package pick up.

My son's 1st trip was in October 2010 for his 1st birthday! We stayed at Disney's Pop century resort and we all experienced MNSSHP( Mickey's not so scary Halloween party)for the 1st time. I was hooked and it is my favorite! .We also had free dining for the 1st time. which is offered at Disney from time to time

Trip #2 was December 2010 with just me and my son. He was 15 months and we stayed at the Disney's Polynesian resort. It was also extremely cold that year. They got snow in Georgia while we were there. We stuck to Magic Kingdom on this trip due to easy access. The monorail was a life saver for kids that age and traveling alone, I did not have to fight with folding up the stroller! we were upgraded to a lagoon view from standard. It turned out amazing because it was really a theme park view with a tree blocking but if you bent down on your knee, you could see the castle!!!

May 2011 was number 3. We stayed at Pop century again with my mom and nephew. Our usually travel party! We had free quick service dining! I got an Annual pass for the 1st time!

In August 2011 We took a last minute trip using my AP, Ds was still free and under 3. It was hot but it reminded me of my trips growing up. We always went in summer and were at the parks all day in the hot!

December 2011 was trip # 5 for us together. We stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom villas -Jambo house in a deluxe studio.

2012 was a sad year of no Disney. I just graduated and it took me a while before I found a new job in what I went to school for.

Feb 2013 was trip number 6. We stayed at the Walt Disney world Dolphin resort and we did not do any parks! Me and the kiddo made a big move a few months prior and while my mom was visiting me to help with my homesickness, we took the short 3 hour drive down. It was just what I needed!

May 2013
We stayed at pop century again and my son's godmother joined us! My dad bought me a one day ticket for my birthday. I was so happy to turn 27 in my happy place. This was his 1st trip as a paying guest. He was so happy he got his own refillable mug with the dining plan! He was loved getting character autographs! This was only one day but it is my favorite trip! The little one was so into Disney at this age. He loved everything. He was very vocal on what he liked. He rode his first big ride, Big thunder mountain railroad. I found out he does not like It's a small world and we have not been on it since this time! We got to experience the new fantasyland for the 1st time. we found out we love watching wishes from behind the castle! It was his first trip being potty trained. Finally, We found out he does not do naps and he never used his stroller! He just became a big boy!

September 2013
I had been planning this trip since his 3rd birthday. I knew I wanted to celebrate his birthday here. Over a year of planning we eventually ended up at the Disney's yacht club with free dining. The YC clearly became my favorite resort. The very short walk to EPCOT made me feel so special. We were upgraded to an amazing lagoon view with a view of illuminations. We also got to meet the guy below at Hollywood studios during the special Friday the 13th unleash the villains event.

November 2013
Devyn's 9th trip. His godmother came with us again. His other god aunt and my lifelong best friend of 20 plus years came also on her very 1st trip to Disney. We stayed at POR, our 1st time at a moderate. It was so beautiful! Defiantly will stay here again and I am sure it has nothing to do with the nice looking gentlemen that escorted us in during check in! I am sure of it!

This brings us to 2014!
September will be DS 11th trip, with his 10th trip, going to MK only, this may before we board the Disney dream!

This is Our Disney history and the answer to your questions is no! I am NOT sick and tired of Disney!!! Ds asks to go at least once a week.

I have so many things running through my head. I need to find a place. I cannot believe after going so many times, there is still so much we have not done The question is...Will I be able to fit everything in that I want? Not that it is a problem, Ill be back! After all, It is tradition!!

7 nights on the DP
HDDMR OOP
pirates league
Pirate and pals cruise
MNSSHP
Pony rides at FW
Chip and dale camp fire sing along and movie

Ok it is a lot and I know I will not be able to do everything. So what will I do???? With only 1 day off from the parks, I need to cut some corners!

You are going to have an amazing time. We were just at POR in AB section in November. I loved it there. If it were more people coming with us I would be back there! Im hoping to take my 1st trip to DL in 2016 for my 30th birthday!!

I know what I want!
I don't know when I want it!
I do know that 7nights will be 7 TS and 7QS. Is it so wrong that I plan some of my QS meals too?:confused3

Here is what we are going to try for:
Cape May Cafe dinner: We go here every trip. It is a favorite if ours because we love crab legs. Even the DS loves them. He also thinks he will get another monorail cake here for his birthday like last time. He asked when we came back here in November

Garden Grill: Another favorite and must do whenever we are able to squeeze in EPCOT. we always see the characters multiple times and we always enjoy the food. Here's to hoping it stays that way!:thumbsup2

Crystal palace: We will be going here for breakfast. I really like the pre-opening ADR times for MK. We have not been here in a while becasue we like to try new things but I think it is time we get back!

1900 Park fair: We are going to do breakfast. We had dinner here in November for the 1st time and we really had a nice meal! There was lots of variety and we left full and satisfied. We are trying breakfast for the 1st time. We are not really sure about the characters since we will see pooh at CP but we have never meet Alice or the mad hatter. Hope it is good!

Hollywood and Vine: We will be returning for here lunch. Most likely at the same time 11am! I have A Jake fan and a doc mcstuffins fan so I was so happy I found out she was coming here. This was our favorite meal last trip. We cannot figure out why this place gets such horrible reviews. Our waitress was more than pleasant and the food and choices were delicious!

Chef Mickeys: We had breakfest here a few times but we are going to try dinner this time. We love meeting the fab 5. My DS adores meeting the characters and collecting autographs

Tusker House: We have never been to tusker house and we are actually thinking about lunch but I am not sure. Many people like it here and I hope we do too!

I realize we have lots of meals with repeat characters but until we get more boy meal activities and options, we are limited to Mickey! We will also be enjoying HDDMR for the 1st time but I will be paying for this OOP

QS meals:
Quick service are less to plan. I t is more like, I like this place and we will eat here when we get hungry

My absolute favorite quick service is Columbia harbour house in MK!

Our other options will be
Flame tree BBQ
Pizza Planet
I want to try a new place in world showcase for QS. I am not sure which one
We will also use the food court at the resort for a meal or two
Another Favorite we will go to is Wolfgang puck express
That is all for know! We shall see how things turn out!

subbing.....must be nice to live only three hours from Disney. I'm following your current TR also. Your son seems to be the perfect vacation buddy. Standing by for the fun.

For some reason I missed the fact that you had a PTR going:confused:. Subbing in. I will try to catch up later today.

I think your list looks awesome. We have done everything on your list except Mini Golf and loved all of it. HDDMR was our absolute favorite and we will be doing it again this September hopefully on the 17th.

It is but I am so busy, I do not get down there as much as I would like. I love that my DS loves disney. He gave me a handful of pennies the other day and told me he had enough to go to Disney:rotfl:

THANK you! I AM really excited to try HDDMR. Im hungry thinking about it!

Hey guys! Sorry I have been M.I.A but I have been going through a really hard time. Homesickness is starting to get the best of me and I haven't been able to find a job. It is getting to the point that If I cannot take this trip with a new job, then I am ok with that because I will be home. In the meantime, everything is as expected. So the September park hours were out and I am excited yet upset. One, the food and wine will start a week early, 2 days into my trip, they have a xtra MNSSHP which is cool if it did not cut the hours down. Only 2 days in my stay will MK be open late for wished and msep. Although I completely plan on seeing hallowishes for the party and on a fireworks cruise, I needed one day. I was planning on doing EMH on mk on Sunday like last September because it was like perfect and we got to ride everything. I had to push that to Tuesday which means I may be at epcot during food and wine on a weekend, which is what I was trying to avoid. my DS and I are both big frozen fans and I intend on meeting them but food and wine adds more crowds but maybe they wont be bothered with characters. I really hope the lines calm down even if just a little bit in September. So here I am rearranging and planning my schedule I had but its is fine. In exactly a month from tomorrow is my ADR DAY! Happy planning everone

All the news from more Halloween parties to the food and wine starting early. I am all over the place. I will make ADR this month and cannot get my plans out. There is too much I wan to do and I eve thought about going to MNSSHP twice but I cannot make all this happen. I am even doubting the ADR I had wanted. I am going to drop 1900 park fare breakfast since we are meeting pooh at crystal palace and I was considering rose and crown. Specifically I wanted to try dinner. Anyone got any good reviews of the place?? or maybe I will switch to T-Rex. See! See that! I am to indecisive at this moment. :confused3
I need more time! I really want to try the food and wine but I may have to go on a crowded weekend. :(
Maybe of I go Sunday right at 11am I can get out before the locals crowd up??? Decisions...decisions....

ADR day is Thursday and I am trying to get everything together. So far I leaning towards two itineraries. Food and wine stating this weekend really kind of sucks since I was planning Epcot on a weekend but I know to avoid it now. I also still need one more TS and clearly cannot choose one.

17: MK, Dinner Chef Mickeys, 7PM
18: HS, Hollywood and vine. We had lunch here and really enjoyed, considering breakfast this time
19: MK, Breakfast Crystal palace, 8am
20: AK, B: Tusker House, 10:30am
21: MNSSHP
22:MK, PM emh Dinner cape may 5pm
23:EPCOT, Dinner Garden Grill
24 : I want to revisit HS or Epcot before we have to be at the hotel at 2pm to catch magical express but I am undecided?:confused3

Or switch the days around and do

17: MK
18: EPCOT
19:MK
20:AK
21:HS
22MK
23 HS or Epcot am, break, mnsshp
24: Dtd, swim, Magical express at 2pm

Yep, I have so much I want us to do ad not enough time! :crazy2:
