Wow - sorry I've been gone these past few weeks - it's been a bit crazy - end of term came up way faster than I was ready for (completing my student's assessments, meetings) blah, blah - anyway on two weeks break now so plan to get this TR finished.
Now where we we? Oh yes - just left future world at Epcot and was heading to the World Showcase. This is one of my favourite areas in all of WDW. I love the cultures on display the food you can try, interesting exhibits to view, the food, music you can listen to, the food and of course the food. Actually the whole atmosphere is pretty incredible as you wander around the lake.
We always turn left when we get to the lake. Why is that? Because Australians drive on the left? Does anyone go right?
We came yo this sign:
Thrilling because we had a Candlelight Processional Dinner Reservation for later that night.
We arrived in Mexico. I love the whole set up of the Mexican temple and the shopping and restaurant inside - a great atmosphere. We had a loo around and did the Donald boat ride (quite cute) and i snapped a quick picture of the restaurant I want to try next trip. Anyone eaten here?
We left Mexico and headed onto Norway.
We had a loo through the area and rode this:
I'm glad we did now that it is closing down. I liked it, but it did seem a little old.
View back around the lake
Next we came to
We had a good look here - a most fascinating area and I loved the model of the terracotta warriors. Beth loved the 360 degree theatre.
Then we had some yummy food:
OMG! those egg rolls and pot stickers are TO DIE FOR!! So good. I actually did a return trip later that week to have another serve of these. Yum.
Another of my favourites:
Then onto Germany. I know I had the best sauerkraut here and an apple turnover but can not find the picture anywhere!! How is this possible??
Anyway they were both excellent and as we were leaving I saw an older couple struggling with trays and walkers and I gave them a hand to sit at our table. i carried their tray over and got them settled. My little part of sharing the magic.
Here are a few shots of the area:
WAIT!! Here's a pic of the turnover MMMMMM
View across the lake:
We skipped through Italy for some reason - looked through some stores but thats about all. What did I miss here?
Then onto the good old USA. We sat in on the American Adventure - which was quite an amazing thing to see and then had a look at the carts out the front.
By this time we were at our destination for dinner Japan's Teppan Edo - which would be followed by the Candlelight Processional. That will be next!!
