Well its doing strange things to our minds at the moment.

While we are DLP this time we decided as we couldnt get our APs renewed for free (not enough sponsors) we wouldnt pay to renew them and would save the money towards one special trip next year - one only- in DLH (possibly CC). This was probably going to be at Easter and then we would probably just go to France in summer and not go to DLP at all.

Well we've been home from France for less than a week and already the planning has started.

DH has been on the phone today to DLP and had a long chat with a booking CM who remembered him from a previous booking- how cool is that remembering him when he must speak to thousands of people.

2-4 Jan (3 nights/4days) DLH castle club - £2070

DLH standard room - £1600

NY Empire Suite - £1300

We would travel through Eurotunnel on 1st and staying somewhere v cheap to be at park early.

We are now trying to weigh up whether
a. to go
b. castle club is worth the extra £

and a million and one other things including should we go at a different time instead.

We are tied to school holidays so cant go later in Jan when its cheaper. DH has realised he has a meeting during Easter hols that he must attend so we cant go then. DD has 2 wks off school end May/beg June so could go then but were thinking of this for just France.

We have also considered going early Sep 09 but were thinking of DCR then to get room only and then buy APs again.

Aaargh!!!!!!!!! - too many decisions and questions and things to consider.

Will someone please remove this virus.

£2k for one trip seems an awful lots to me.....you could have a week at WDW for that...in the sun!

But then ive spent £2k on DLP in the last 3 months so I cant really talk.....

We should be going on the 4th, so we might just cross paths this time, depending on what time you'd plan to leave. I think we're looking at getting to DLP earier than usual, so it's more than possible

It will be very cold, so staying at DLH would be a big bonus & going to the castle club lounge to warm up during the day would be an even bigger bonus. Just think about that!

Yes that is one thing swaying us towards DLH and esp CC.

One other possibility I forgot to mention is we may only do 2 nights/3 days as we would need to leave fairly early on 5th to drive to Calais, thro tunnel and then all way home as DD is back at school on 6th so we wouldnt use the park tickets that day or get benefit of CC lounge etc so if we did 2 nights we could leave late 4th and drive to Calais and stay in cheap hotel there or just move to cheap hotel near DLP - that would reduce the price of CC by about £600 I think but we've not checked it out.

I think the only way to get rid of this virus is to actually book something, sorry to be the bearer of bad news and all that, please let us know what you decide

Yes Annette is right, you'll just have to book something and the virus will miraculously leave you alone. See? Miracle cure!
It only works for a few months though, then you have a relapse.

Me, personally, I would never spend that much money on a hotel. I would prefer to go to the NY and spend the extra on the actuall holiday, however that is just my personal opinion and I would actually book the Santa Fe hotel

Why dont you go to WDW for the same price for a week instead? I went in early Jan this year and it was great!!! We stayed at Pop Century and had a fab time will all the xmas things being up nice warm weather and a tan
