I'm so bummed that "winkers" isn't on the list. How bout I make a cutout of myself that you can put in the group pictures???? We actually did this at my sisters wedding because my brother was in Chile for 2 years and couldn't be there!:)

Sandy - Check out my circa 1979 dress and see if it is similar to yours!

Back when my hubby still had a fullish head of hair :rolleyes1

SCAN0003.jpg

Sandy - Did your dress have really fine pleating on the skirt and bottoms of the sleeves? Your dress looks suspiciously similar to mine!!!!! Of course it is difficult to tell from the photos, so I may just be imagining the similarity. But we did get married within a year or so of each other . . .

Cheryl they are alike - I got mine at some kinda warehouse sale in Muncie IN - I took my youth pastor with me, her dd eloped!! It was strictly off the rack, and I found 3 I liked, went back to the dorm, picked up a copy of Brides magazine, and there it was!! I wounder if that's posted on the 'net!! Actually mine was sheer arms, and pleated bodice - - I made the bm get pleated dresses... in peach.. which was hard to find in '81~~
LOVE your dress!! LOVE the picture - does your dh's beard have grey in it now?? my dh looks so different!!

I'm ready for that - I can do it!!

Yep, Sandy, hubby's beard has lots of grey in it now!

My bridesmaids dresses' were a peach print with pleated skirts. The peach looked great on them, since most were blondes. I think that dress only cost about $120. And my mom made the skirt into a bassinet skirt for the nursery. It was beautiful and a neat way to recycle the wedding dress. I think I still have it around here somewhere.

Click here for a montage of wedding pics if anyone is interested.

I have really enjoyed everyone's pics.

Ariel, I will be there Sept 15-26. I am hoping to join in some of the meet activities.

I did pretty well today.
B-fast was coffee and a quarter of a krispy kreme (50 cals) because I couldn't resist.
Lunch was banquet frozen meal, sliced beef (230) and a yogurt (60).
Snack was strawberries (50).
Dinner was a LC salisburysteak/mac&cheese (260).
Snack after hockey was 7 ff pringles (30), cauliflower/celery (10), and ff onion dip (140), and a 100 cal pack of wee cupcakes.
Total calories in food: 930. Also had 3 mich ultras (300), so at 1230 for today, and played hockey for 1.25 hours.

I am really starting to like hockey again. It is such a rush, even when you suck like me. So much more fun as cardio than the d* dirty elliptical trainer, plus I imagine that the calories burned is more. You are carrying a lot of gear!

Just catching up. Now I'll go back and read about the rest of y'all.

About 800 pages ago, we all introduced ourselves and I think it's about time to do it again. I saw a thread over on another message board where everyone is just filling in a little questionaire so I thought that would be easiest.

Happy anniversary!

I will never regret the life I once had... How can I?... we made two beautiful girls!!

I love the movie Peggy Sue Got Married with Kathleen Turner. One of the messages of the movie is, with all that is wrong with her life, if she hadn't made the choices she made, she would not have had the children she had. That really hit home with me. Hang on to those good thoughts, Belinda.

Yesterday, I FINALLY got Jay to go to Yoga with me (Christy was there, too). Somebody "passed gas" during class and Jay keeps laughing and talking about it! He's convinced it was Christy... I thought it was the instructor. They were both in the right area for where the "sound" came from.

One of the things that makes me laugh on my yoga dvd is the lady keeps talking about how twisting squeezes the toxins from your body. Yeah, that is my experience. I don't think I could do yoga in public because of that.

Sandy- I didn't quote, per your request, but I love the pictures. Sort of Karen Carpenter marries Barry Gibb.

Melinda- The questionnaire is a great idea. I love you all more now than ever.

Oooh, one more thing. If anyone is doing WW on their own, and has lost 10% of her (or his) starting body weight, I have an extra WW keychain (cuz I hit 10% twice). PM me and I'll mail it to the first taker.

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!!! :sunny:

I'm so glad you all posted your bio info and pictures. It's so nice to "see" everyone! I'm sorry I didn't quote everyone.

BRIDES OLD & NEW....You are all gorgeous in your gowns! DH and I married on vacation in Merritt Island, FL near Cocoa Beach and drove straight to our cruise ship. (Premier Cruise Lines which was then the "Official Cruise Line of Walt Disney World") I have a picture of us but not in photo bucket...will try to post later.

KAT....Enjoyed your wedding album! What a beautiful bride! The reception looks like fun!

LYNDA....Thanks for checking in! Don't make me worry! ;)
IMG_3705-1.jpg
Occupation: SAHM and full time DIS lurker :rotfl:
OMG! Kim! You've been around a loonnnggg time and I've never seen your picture! You're beautiful! Now quit your lurking and chat with us. One post per week does not a chat make!?
Heather! You look about 12 in both those photos....so cute! (and I mean that in a good way.) You don't look like the mother of 3-going-on-4.
Breakfast-luna bar
Lunch-hot pockets ultra (the one with lots of fiber)supreme pizza flavor and iced tea, and some doritos
Dinner-chicken stroganoff with salad and tons of water
snacks-apple with peanut butter
dessert-1/4 cup (I evenmeasured!) m&m's, dark chocolate
Total for the day:1557, under my max, and feel full.
A good day overall, lots of exercise.
That's wonderful, Jen! Good choices! It's amazing that you can actually feel full on an appropriate amount of calories. I used to just open a box of cheez-its when I got home from work and just dive in. Now I make better choices (ex.: bowl of Fiber One w/ soy milk) and still feel full. And YES! Measuring a few times does give you a good visual of what a portion size looks like. GOOD JOB!
Aww, thanks for wondering. :goodvibes
I knew you were probably busy since you've been gone but just checking. Now make those cookies! ;)
it's hair.....it will grow back!
That's what I kept telling myself when DD was experimenting with hair color.....it's not a tattoo or a piecing....just hair.....just hair..... And BTW, sweet girl, you look great with all color and quantity of hair. Easy D...good one, Ray!
Nancy! You're beautiful too! Wow! Thanks for the picture! It's always nice to talk to the peeps but nice to "see" them too.

HAVE A GREAT DAY, EVERYONE! :flower3:

We have such a great looking group of peeps here! I love looking at all these pictures. I thought I would share some wedding ones too....since my anniversary is coming up 5/12.

Here is one of my favorites, even though you cant really see my face. I am about 15 pounds heavier here than I want to be when I hit my goal. Gosh I loved that dress....too bad there isnt really any reason to get to wear that again:guilty:

wedding1.jpg

And here is a closer up picture, just for good measure.
wedding2.jpg

OK...I want to see more wedding pictures peeps!

Your husband looks like my boss!!!!

Today is a new day.

Ok so I am trying something new. I curled my hair and put make-up today.

Baby steps. I am making an effort... that is what is important.

Love all y'all, Bee

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

What a great morning I had! The first pair of pants that I put on (which admitedly were a bit big to begin with) fell off!! :rotfl: They are being retired to the "I under-grew them" bag never to be seen again!

This brings up a good question... what have you done about clothing while you were still in the process of "shrinking?" I don't have the money to sink into new clothes each month, but want to look decent (at least for work where I need corporate casual and sometimes business attire). Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Is it morning already??

I agree,- - everyone here that is able to share so willingly and openly - its a beautiful thing - and now to have pictures to go with names... and soon, irl meetings - I'm just amazed...

and cheryl I guess we're sisters :goodvibes I wanted to make my dress into a christening gown, but my mom wouldnt let me, she literally stole my dress!! :rotfl2: rumor has it it is at my aunts house in OH - :confused3 My mil made a most gorgeous christening gown - I wonder where that ended up!! and the reference to karen Carpenter - I have heard that before, but it always touches my heart - I love her!! I also hear I looked like... Marie Osmond!! (back in those days not now!) :confused3 I'm probably not the only one who wonders if or about anorexia in my darkest hours...

Amazingly gorgeous group of women!!

WOOHOOTY BEE! :cheer2:

· The interactive area at Spaceship Earth will remain open during the renovations.

· The last phase of improvements to the Spaceship Earth area will be complete by early spring 2008.

· All affected Cast Members will be deployed to other locations within Future World East.

Good morning Peeps! :sunny:
I just LOVE seeing everyone in their wedding photos! You all look wonderful! What a great idea to post the pictures! :grouphug: It's so interesting to see the different styles from each decade! LOL! I'm the 80's! Someday we want to do a vow renewal - hopefully in WDW! - and I want to be skinny so I can wear a sexy dress this time! I was only a few sizes smaller than I am now in these pictures...

I'm not 100% sure that today is the day, but that's what they are saying on the Transportation board. I'll be watching my DING closely. :thumbsup2

Last, but not least, I have to report my weigh in today, because I'll be out of town tomorrow...
