No Worries.....have a great time down there.......and do me a favor............since you are part of Red Sox Nation........can you bury the Yankees......I can't stand these obnoxious fans here in Jersey.....adn since my METS are not doing so well they are trying to get on me now..........Well I see they are having a great time in Colorado......adn keep beating the Phillies for us......we appreciate it....

I'm getting caught up on all the posts from overnight. No email at home right now, so I'm having to wait until work to get caught up!

I'm so jealous of you guys going to the world in July and September! We aren't going til February and it seems like SO FAR AWAY!!!! Y'all will have to bring some magic back and share it with us other GALLPPers to hold us over til we go!

Night of Joy will at least be a little taste of Disney...even though it will be a quick one!

Yeah, I'd like to see the Yankees go down too and yes, their fans are obnoxious! When I was in NYC I saw some obnoxious Red Sox hater shirts! I'm not saying all Red Sox fans are dignified, but the Yankee fans are the WORST!

Actually DH got us a Wii on Tuesday so I was even late in uploading.

Anywhoo...I still need DH to fix 1 out of the 2 videos for me. I use a Creative Zen M and my conversions didn't work. :sad:

How's the Wii??? DH and I have been talking about it for awhile...he's trying to decide what the next platform in our home should be. He's torn between Wii and Xbox 360 right now.

Mine was torn for a while & waiting...I had been hearing good things - his single Dad friend & DS lost weight playing Wii. Then about 6 hours into a 10 hour shift at work listening to how much fun the girls had with them - one had her grandmother bowling for hours. I caved, and emailed him to go ahead & get one. He put one on hold right away after calling local stores from his office & managed to pick it up all before I got home from work.
DD5 is having fun with it too - our older PS2 was too complicated - she didn't have the patience to practice. With the Wii - no problems - she bowled at 148 earlier today - 4 strikes and 2 spares during the game. I scored lower.
(ok I didn't even break 100 & I was trying!)

love the new siggy bar too!

I love the fact that you guys are coming up with a name for yourselves - I think it's really cool, and honestly - I'm sincerely grateful that we have some dedicated listeners to the show.

Could I persuade you to maybe come up with a different name? I realize the expression "get a life" is said tongue in cheek, and I know the sentiment behind it is all in good fun, but I have to be honest - the term bothers me. I've never felt that those who visit the site didn't have a life (okay, maybe a couple of people :)), but on my worst day I'd never use a term like that to describe my visitors. First, you need only read any number of threads on the site to realize that we do have lives - jobs, families, children, etc - and that we all choose to include Disney as part of that. I know this sounds crazy, but for some reason when I first read "get a life podcast people", it just bothered me - I don't feel that way - I never have.

I'm not saying you have to come up with a new name (I learned to live with lime green as the official color of the DIS, I'll learn to live with this too :)), but if you're so inclined, that wouldn't bother me either.

Oh, Pete! I for one understand and see your point, and PLEASE know that I never intended to imply that you feel that way about your listeners, and if you are really thinking that I have, then yes I am totally upset and hurt!! The name was intended for us to laugh at ourselves, using old SNL humor along w/ adopting your "It's soda!" attitude (these are not weighty issues we immerse ourselves into here--still, we really, really, really get into Disney and the terrific podcast and this make us chuckle at ourselves, you know?). We love Disney down to the most minute detail and I believe it is b/c we lead such rich, caring, and full lives that we are we able to afford the luxury of this FUN site and your podcasts. So, hey---what's in a name? Of course we can put a more positive spin on our groupie name, no sweat! Pete's podcast people? P3? Do you have any suggestions???

Exactly. We know we all have lives, whether they be families, jobs, homework (mine), but we spend so much time glued to the computer that it's like this IS our life. So, we laugh about it. Personally, I think that learning to laugh at yourself is an important part of being a true disney fan.
