The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 27

SO what is on the menu for everyone tonight. Jeff is closing so I think Olivia and I will have fishsticks and french fries.

The kids had pizza and I had cereal and an English muffin. I was tired and didn't feel like cooking.

so for the past 4 yrs tax free weekend has been the first weekend in aug here. So I made sure I was off fri, sat and sun this weekend. Well they changed it tothe 17,18,and 19th of this month. I guess since school is not starting till the 27th here they thought they would move it closer to that.

So I know Glynis and Katie will be out of town but what is everyone elses plans for this weekend.

Well, Bob and I have date night Friday and I'm trying to figure out what I want to see.....Hairspray or No Reservations. Opinions please?

Then Saturday my parents are coming for the week. I have to go out of town for work Mon - Fri so they are going to stay with the kids.

Tough call. I would probably say No Reservations. It looks really good and romantic. I figure Hairspray would be fun, but it's something I wouldn't mind seeing alone.

Theresa - How is Arctic Tale for someone Terra's age? Would it be too much? We have the opportunity to get free screening tickets for Sat, but I don't want to take them from someone else if it would be too "old" for her. Thanks!

Tough call, but I think I might lean towards No Reservations for a date. Hairspray would be fun, but probably a younger crowd on a Fri night. No Reservations is probably more couples.

No Reservations was a cute chick flick. I enjoyed it but my friends Dad who went with us didn't. I don't know how Bob would like it. I haven't seen Hairspray so can't comment on that one.

A cute mutant! I liked Hairspray, but I don't know if it is really a "guy" movie. DS liked it, and my friend's brother who went with us liked it, but he said he likes stage shows in general. He is in his early 30's, so not the same age as DS.

Jo - Congrats on your new little princess! How exciting!!

DH is grilling steaks for dinner. He found out today that the driver who covers his days off WILL be getting his own route, so that's not so good. Apparently a driver can change his mind about taking a route after he wins the bid, and the guy who won the bid backed out! It should be like an auction - if you bid and win you are stuck! No changing your mind! Well, it is a good opportunity for DH's co-worker, but it means DH's accounts will be trashed after our trip because he will have spotty coverage.

On a whim I just called and booked breakfast at Ohana for one morning of our August trip. I couldn't believe they had a slot open! I am still on the fence about dinner our first night. We have CP booked, but I am sad that we aren't going to Kona this trip. Hmm.

Robyn - I was at Toys R Us today and saw plush Dwarves. Sooo cute! I thought of Lucy immediately! They had 6 of the 7 - Happy was the only one they were out of. $5 each.
