The Woman Report- Update 4/24 Final Thoughts p. 74

It has taken me forever to get caught up on the boards,

DL Cons
Pool at DGC-bad
You should have pool hopped over to the Disneyland Hotel, the Peter Pan pool is pretty cool

Too bad you had issues with the lifeguards, I have never heard of those issues in the past or have I seen them while eating at the White Water Snacks patio. Most of the time they look like they are in another world. I did run in to someone last Sunday that wanted to say hello

Seems to be lots of gangsta/hood types in park
And that is just the Cast Members

Walkways are narrower-harder to maneuver
Especially during parades or Fireworks

Park guests are ruder compared to WDW where they’re pretty nice
I have to agree, but I am wondering if that is not do the comment above. When it is crowded and everyone is on top of each other I think tempers get short

Enjoyed your report

Now I have to go catch up on what's his names report
:rotfl2:

Hi Linnie,

I just wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed reading your trip report! Sounds like you guys had a great time, or at least the good/fun times outweighed the bad ones. :lovestruc

There is nothing like good ol Disney Magic to make a person feel better, no matter if it is remembered, written/read about or if you are lucky enough to be in the middle of it! :wizard: That said, I'm really glad you are feeling better.

Thanks for sharing your adventure!

Great TR Linnie! :thumbsup2 It was great to hear your take on things after reading Buzz's TR. Always nice to hear a woman's perspective! ;) I just may have to talk my husband into giving DL a try.

Good getting to know you and your wonderful family better! :goodvibes

Your last post was great Lin, really well said and the reason why lots of us just keep going back :)

Hi Linnie! Thanks so much for doing this report. I've loved reading along. I love reading all kinds of Disney trip reports, but I especially enjoy the ones by families who are living with a disability. There's just that added twist that makes the trip so special. Thanks for sharing & I hope you do another TR. And thanks for updating the Woman Report so much more quickly than that Man Report gets updated! ;)

Disney magic- that’s what I love about my DIS friends-well one of the many, many reasons. We have many things in common, but one thing we all have in common is our love for Disney. Uniting us from all over the world. We come from all walks of life-some come from other countries, some live in Florida and others live clear across the US, but we’re all brought together by one man and his mouse. And that is Disney Magic. Thank you for reading and God bless each and every one of you and your families.

Linnie , your last installment was wonderful. You are so right about the "Disney Magic" :cloud9:. I miss Disney from the moment we leave until we are back on WDW property. All our troubles seem to fade away there, people treat Bill more normally there, and it is just heaven to us.

Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us. I adore your family and will be reading any future reports you and Buzz do.

I’ve said before there are people that just don’t get Disney and those that do, really get it. I love it. Buzz loves it. LeeAndra loves it. Trey, not as much, but it’s that darn disability thing getting in the way there.

I love it because I can totally forget all my problems and cares. It’s so magical. I can be silly and kiss Mickey bushes or belt out songs in the middle of a bunch of people, stick my tongue as far out as I can, dance any way I want to. I can be a total idiot and believe me, I am. :dance3:

It brings out the "kid" in me, or something resembling a kid. Perhaps a middle aged, very immature woman. I can drink wine and not feel guilty about how much I chug down. I can ride roller coasters and ferris wheels until I come dangerously close to throwing up. I can skip down Main Street and not feel dumb.

I can laugh until I’m in agony-especially if Buzz falls down or gets kicked in the butt by his daughter while wearing nothing but a towel. The times and laughs we have there are magical and I live for my Disney Magic fix. I’m glad we go twice a year now. There’s just nothing like a Disney Vacation. If done properly that is. I’ve had friends go there and hate it. I just tell them, “Then you didn’t do it right!!”

Linnie, Thanks so much for your great trip report.

I have to say though, you are not a middle aged immature woman. You are a person who can find joy in all the little things in life. Disney is just a place where people like us can let it show without everyone around us thinking we're nuts!

My DH and I also love to laugh AT and WITH each other. It's what keeps you going during the tough times. That and the trips to Disney!!

It is so great that Trey has a teacher that really loves and gets him! ADHD runs in my family and it is just amazing how many really bad teachers there are out there. They are great if you are the perfect student, but give them a challenge and they can totally demoralize a special needs child. My shy, quiet, withdrawn 7 year old grandson has yet to have a teacher who understands and treats him with some compassion and love that a young child needs. Peyton is just seen as the problem child. Yet, for us, he is constantly thinking of others and is so kind and thoughtful. This just makes him such an easy target for the school bullies.
You guys are doing a great job with your children! Hope your recovery goes super fast!

Hi Linnie
I'm not suppose to be on here.
SHHHH. Don't tell anyone.
I'm on a break.
My PTR explains.
Fixing my signature. Just had to stop in and tell you I'm praying for your recovery.
OK, I'm signing off now. Back to life. I'll be back in full DIS mode in a few weeks.

Your secret is safe with me! :flower3: Thanks for the prayers!

Your final thoughts are wonderful. I can totally relate to just about all you said. Thank you so much for your first TR and, yes, you must do another! I love the "combined" ones.

Thanks! I'd like to do another one with Buzz! They're pretty fun to do and like Buzz said, they really help him to remember the trip. Although I don't see how that is possible considering how slow his moves....

Well said.:thumbsup2

Thank you!!

Ack! I never thought of pool hopping! Oh well there's always next time!! We'll definitely be going back!!

Absolutely-that Disney Magic cures all ills!!!

Thank you! DL is definitely worth a try!! Keep after him until he gives in. That's one of my basic strategies with Buzz. I keep beating him (figuratively) until I get my way and even after I get my way just because it's fun! :dance3:

Your last post was great Lin, really well said and the reason why lots of us just keep going back :)

Thank you!! It's taken me a long time to figure out why I love Disney so much! I think I got now! :yay:

I know what you mean- about the disabililty angle. I feel so lucky that we are even able to travel with Trey. I know some kids on the spectrum don't do that well with travelling and changes. Trey likes adventures so I feel blessed! :cloud9:

We miss it right away too. We get home and keep saying, "Wow-this sure isn't Disney" all the time. :sad2: There is no place like Disney!

I will be keeping up with you and Bill on your PTR! I love your reports!! :cutie:

Buzz has told me we could have fun no matter where we go-we just all enjoy each other. I think he's right. We do have a lot of fun-the 4 of us nuts. Disney is perfect for us. We're so lucky to be able to do it. Buzz makes me laugh all the time, although right now is not a good time for me to be busting a gut. He sent me one line on an email this morning and I nearly exploded trying not to laugh. I love humor!

Peyton sounds like my cousin's son. He's having a lot of issues with the teachers too. He a square peg and they try to make him fit into a round hole and it just doesn't work. He has some OCD issues and such. It's amazing how many poor teachers there are out there and it's even more amazing what a huge difference they can make in a child's life! I hope Peyton doesn't get bullied. That's so hard.

What happened to Buzz's trippie. I can't get to it and I've tried EVERYTHING!

it keeps saying invalid link inform adminstrator!

It's also not listed on the trip report page.

Someone fill me in, or PM me!

I love your final thoughts, Linnie. So well put and pretty darn heartwarming.

I came over here to ask the same question Becky is asking. Did you guys do something to get The Man Report shut down?? I can't get in either  :sad1:

Yep apparently, Buzz ticked off someone higher up and all his posts are deleted. It involves that whole fiasco with the re-direct last weekend. According to Buzz, the WM said there was a lawsuit involved with that whole thing (it's in a thread on the CB) and Buzz questioned if there was really a lawsuit and now all his posts are gone. He tried to post some more, as he can log in, but nothing shows up. :sad2:

I don't think he's been banned, but he can't post and all his stuff is gone.

I loved your trip, Linnie! It is so sad on the last day, isn't it? You summed it up perfectly though, about being able to just act like a kid with no worries and just be in the moment with our families. Disney is the perfect escape.

DD's teacher went to WDW the same week we did (along with about 6 other families we knew) and she was the only one we didn't see. I'm so glad Trey loves his new school and teacher, it really does make all the difference. My SIL teaches kindergarten and loves her kids to pieces and she has mostly low income, little "home training" , lots of behavior problems in the class. This year actually she has six kids considered special ed in her regular classroom. She has never spoken of any of them with anything but love. That is the kind of teacher I wish every child could have every year.

Thank you for sharing your family!:goodvibes

EEP!

I just found a thread on community... OY!

That is crazyiness!

I admit it, I lurked all the way till the end. And now I just have to post. Lin, your family is wonderful and full of surprises! Your's and Buzz's TRs are two of the best ones I read...and I've read A LOT!! So glad you had a great time!
P.S. Tell Buzz if he's good, I'll post on his too :yay:
