That Pirate Stole My Tiara: The Pre-Trip Report

At least it's dark in there so you can't really see what your eating.:)

I'd recomend a tiny flashlight to help you read the menus. Seriously we nearly caught the menus on fire trying to hold them up to the candles to read them.

LOL Good to know!

i love reading your report ! i'm only half way through it but it's way more entertaining than tv !

Woohoo! Tinkerbellarella is better than the TV! Today is a day of days.

Welcome. Glad to have you.

i worked for disney for about a year -- i worked AT the contemporary resort shops before they took them out, you know, the old jewelry and candy store and pin cart? that's where i worked. in costume and everything. and i went back the year i went home ... and it's now been two years since i've been and i'm dying. i mean, i was at magic kingdom every day for almost a year and i STILL can't get enough. i'm even having my wedding there.

Wow! How jealous am I! On all fronts!

...

Ok, maybe ont on the cast member uniform front, but everything else for sure!!!

i'll read bits here and there and i'll pass it on to my disney friends, they're sure to love it. thanks for sharing !!

Thank you for "sharing" me. :goodvibes

How bad can it be between the ambiance and copious amounts of tequila??? ;)

This could set the bar for MANY things, no? Ha!

I will say that the walking helps keep you sober. ;)

Favorite quote of the day so far.
And I must say, I'm so happy to see your name on my PTR once again.

ADR's are going to be the death of me. I love reading all the changes though because it helps me settle (or not!) on places too... Something tells me I'll change quite a few myself as reviews continue to roll in!

Isn't it crazy how obsessed we are about meals we won't have for months?!

Hey y'all! Been kind of, well, discombobulated in the Tink household but I'm hoping to get you a chappie this week!

Thanks for hangin' in!

:flower3:

IT'S ALIIIIIVE!!!

Figuratively speaking, of course.

The trip binder is official.
Because trip binder's are officially official once they have a cover.

What you didn't know? You'd better CALL somebody.

Sorry. It's that kind of day.

Anywhatsit, I have all of this stuff (read: multitudinous paper I have printed out resulting in the need to plant about 20 trees to compensate). All this stuff is stuffed, uncermoniously so, into a red 1" binder I bought from Staples. Stickies are haphazardly stuck to the other papers in the binder and on the inside cover of the binder. The binder itself is sitting on top of one of our dining room chairs. Under about four books.

My organizational skills are just ASTOUNDING you aren't they?
(That's rhetorical, by the way.)

So today, out of sheer determination (read: painful boredom) I decided it was time to get my proverbial...er...stuff...together. And make that puppy "official".

And so, drumroll please, I give you Tinkerbellarella's 2008 Officially Official Trip Report Binder Cover:

Please, please. One at a time. You'll all get to see it.

Kidding.

But that's her. In all her piratey glory. I spent time playing around in the Paint accessory to get rid of all of the movie poster writing that was previously all over this picture of the swarthy Jack Sparrow, copied some, pasted some, and marked it with a B...oops, wrong nursery rhyme. I did had to resize it to fit on 8.5X11 paper, so the font gets a wee bit funky, but other than that, I'm pleased with it.

Granted, all of the stuff inside it remains in its current, disheveled state but at least she isn't nekkid anymore right?

:flower3:

Professor Jones...ahem...I mean Jackie, will you teach us?;)

But, of course! ;)

In the proper way of trip binder preparations, one must first purchase a binder. It should be at least one inch thick with the plastic doo-hickey on the front to insert a cover. Also, the proper choosing of a color to reflect one's personality is a must.

Second, one must create one's cover. This will give the trip a theme, or at least, as Tink says, cover the nekkidness of the binder.

Tink has mastered those first two -- TK, you need to complete these first two steps.

Up Next: The division of the binder. :rotfl:

Yes, Professor CP! As soon as I can get to an office supply store...:thumbsup2

Very nice cover! I don't think I've actually ever made an official cover. My tactic is usually a folder with binder clips.

Um, I just had a Trip Envelope.

Next time, I shall mend my ways. :thumbsup2

Tink, that's an excellent binder cover!

Verrrrrrry Nice. ::yes::

Let's see, so far I have a budget section, a travel info section, a resort info section, an ADR info section and a park info section. I also plan on having a place for receipts.

More to follow. I believe we're booking our return flight today. If so, I'll give y'all the update.

Tink! I am very proud of you!!!

Can't wait to find out if you got a good deal on airfare!

Alright. I have a newly formed travel folder inadequacy complex! I wonder if I can find one in aqua or hot pink...

My boss bought me a hot pink one, no idea where she got it. I have nothing work related to put in it so it just sits on my shelf at work, I wonder if she would notice if I took it home. :rotfl:

Because we're flying SW we aren't eligible for Magical(lyUn)Express. And I'm not a MEARS girl ever since that last time I was CRAMMED into the van. And the line for the taxi stand is often longer than the line for RnR 30 min. after rope drop. I'm more of a "car service" kind of gal. And I decided that I'd surprise Missy and book us something a little nicer than your average sedan (and it was semi-affordable since we're only using it one-way):
;)

Tink, I'm just catching up with the links so I don't know if this was covered yet or not but you can take Magical Express when you fly Southwest. It's the resort checkin that you can't use.

I'm almost caught up! yeah me!:surfweb:
