POFQ is the first stop for the buses going to and coming back from the parks. They do share with the POR, but if the bus is full after picking up at POFQ, they will go directly to the parks.
Thanks for the quick reply.

How long do you think the walk is from POFQ to POR?

I was trying and trying to get my dates at POFQ (4/23/09-4/28/09) and for some reason that arrival date is booked. So I was able to get availability for 4/24-4/29 instead.

I'm asking about the walk to POR because in February, we stayed at POR and saw the show in the lounge, Bob the Piano Guy. WE LOVED IT! Hoping the walk to POR won't be too long so we can catch his show one night during our stay.

Thanks!!

Jacki

Does GardenGrocer deliver to POFQ? How big are the refrigerators in the room?

I just placed our order with garden grocer, for our stay @ POFQ next month, with no problems. Not sure on the size of the fridges, though I have seen pictures on another forum. I'll see if I can hunt it down.

lucky978,

my wife and i stayed at POFQ last December on our honeymoon and walked over to POR because they had a better food court. it took us about 10-15 minutes and wasn't bad at all.

Hi All!

I'm so excited! Just booked a trip for April, 2009! 2 Rooms (Hopefully connecting) at POFQ! It will be me and my girls (age 10), my mom (this is her 60th birthday trip), my cousin and her daugher (age 17). It's going to be so much fun!!!

Can't wait!!!

We had connecting rooms in building 2. I called and asked instead of faxing in a request. It was so nice having the rooms connected since my mom was traveling alone. It made her feel safer.

That's what we're doing.

We LOVE the WL - but unless there is a great rate that comes out for our dates, we can't afford it. So we will be staying at POFQ - my favorite of the moderates (although we've only stayed at 2).

I would recommend it!!!

Just a quick question... we will be staying there in April and when I go online at Disney to make my reservation it stated there is a coffee maker and ironing board upon request, but no mention of a fridge. I thought each room automatically came with one. Or do I need to request one? Plus they are free right?

Sorry I guess this ended up not being such a quick question!!!!!

This is what we're doing also. We adore BWI but just can't justify the extra $$$. Hoping for a great experience at POFQ!:thumbsup2

We did the same thing Kat. I love POFQ and although the monorail line is convenient I am trying to scale down the cost as much as possible in order to get in a Christmas trip. POFQ is my favorite resort outside of AKL, I hope others feel this way as well.

I don't know why it says that. The fridges have been in all the rooms since 2006, along with the coffee makers. They have always had ironing boards, so don't worry.

Yes fridges are in the rooms and you do not have to request one.:)

I can't wait, im so excited this will be our 1st stay at FQ- i'm not finding many threads on this hotel. Does anyone know of any other links?

Like another poster said, the walk is only about 10-15 minutes, also, you can always just go to the bus stop - just ask the driver if he is headed to POR next - in the evening most of them probably will be. HTH

I have never heard Bob play at POR but if you are staying at POFQ give Elliot Dyson a try. He plays in the ScatCat Lounge which is in the lobby of the POFQ. He plays Wednesdays through Saturdays from 9:00 to midnight and is really great.

This coming November we are going to try to get to see both Elliot and Bob.
