I am going crazy over planning like I always do so here is my problem (ha ha).....I have booked a pirate room for February, but the more I read I am thinking about changing to a Nemo themed room because my 2 year old LOVES Nemo...I was wondering if anyone has pictures of the Nemo room before I change reservations because I know the pirate rooms will go fast. Thanks for helping me with my craziness

Here are some pictures that I took of our Nemo themed room. It was nice walking into a fresh "new" room. The only things that are really Nemo about the room are the wallpaper and the bedspreads but, that being said, we still liked it.

I think the Nemo themed rooms are going to be in both the preferred locations and the non-preferred locations but I am not sure. Safetymom can probably confirm or deny this for you. In all honesty, I wouldn't pay extra money for a preferred room. The only reason we did was that was the only room available at the resort.

I do have other pictures of the safe, the island, the buildings and lake. If you would like to see them, I posted them several pages back and can post them again if you would like. Hope this has helped.

Although I will miss the under-bed storage space, I'm glad they got rid of the posts at the foot of the bed. We kept banging our legs against them since they were partially hidden by the bedspread, and eventually had to wrap towels around them as padding.

Do they have towels available at all the pools or just the big one?

Only at the main pool.

I'm an early riser, and I 'm the only one in my family. On days I knew we'd be using our village's quiet pool later in the day, I'd walk to Old Port Royale for breakfast (or at least to fill my refillbale mug), and on my way back to my room I'd grab a pool towel for each of us, keep them in the room, and then use them later in the day at our village's quiet pool.

For those who've just returned from a CBR stay in a Nemo room, how did the carpets look? I just do not understand why they left the old carpets - am hoping the carpets had a good cleaning, but who knows....this was such a lite refurbishment, maybe they just changed out the rest.

Love CBR, but disappointed in this so called refurb - then again, maybe Disney did not call it that at all! ;)

We had the same carpet in our room but it looked like it had been cleaned thoroughly. It didn't look worn or dirty.

Thanks much! :flower3:

Your photos are great! Would love to see anymore you feel like posting. :)

Thanks!

I don't have these in any particular order (sorry):

Not to say that what you witnessed was not someone being cheap...But..
Whenever you buy a drink an alcoholic drink that is, it has the gratuity added to the bill for all alcohol! This is WDW policy.
unless this has changed from last year, I don't know. But I will find out in a few days!
I think this is a little known fact and really should be spread around because IMHO it is a little sneaky ..

By the way we always rounded up!
ITM

We have friends who are bar tenders for wdw and they confirmed that gratuity is not added to the bill for alcohol unless you are a party of six or more at a sit down meal. Please keep tipping the bartenders they also work very hard. Maria

Welcome back!:flower3:

Is there an indoor lounge at OPR? We stayed at CBR in 1999, and I know that we sat at a bar inside. Everything I see written only lists the pool bar. Is the bar I sat at part of the Restaurant? (I can't remember the name). Can you go in to the restaurant just for the bar? Thanks, Jane

Another room question. We have booked a preferred room, and I have read that this only consists of 6 buildings. Does anyone know how many of these rooms have been refurbed? I don't necessarily care about Nemo, but would appreciate fresh, clean rooms and carpeting. Thanks! Jane

I still miss that lounge and their Pina Coladas.:sad1: The old restaurant was much better also.

That's not completely true. I know for a fact that we were presented with seperate alcohol tickets for 2 diners at 2 different rest. last year, & there was an 18% gratuity added to the check. I actually would have left more than 18% but didn't after they took the liberty of charging it to my card themselves. Not to say this is always the case, just what happeded in the 2 places that we ordered drinks.
